Hi Everyone!
To all close friends and family of Vic, Albert, Danny, Jordan and Sarvi,
You are invited to our 12th annual 4th of July BBQ for 2009!!!
It has now been 12 incredible years since the first remarkable tradition at Mission Beach. As you all very well know my brother is currently in Lesotho after joining the Peace Corps. Undoubtedly, the storied tradition will continue as Vic has passed the torch onto Danny, Jordan, Sarvi and me! Little brother has stepped in for big brother in helping make 2009 as memorable as 2008! Last year we had so many people attend that we couldn't even keep track of crashers (aka The Incident) helping themselves to our grandiose event!
Vic has pointed out that this day is for all family and friends to come together. The 4th of July summer's event has served as a thank you to you from him as an appreciation to what you mean to him. I'd like to echo those words because had it not been for this event I would not have met so many great people. Please make sure you extend the invite to those old and new to this event. There is always room to met great new friends! I'd like to thank Danny, Jordan, Sarvi and Lorri in advance for helping make the transition in (temporarily) replacing my brother a smooth one! We'll be arranging this year's BBQ with with the usual. So, come out for some fun and excitement!
Getting Ready!
With that said, this year's 4th of July Summer Bash will be at the same place the year before as it has been for the past 11 years. For those who have not attended in previous years, check out the link for directions or hitch a ride from someone who has been there. I have created this website as a guide to answer your questions of what we plan to do and how you can get there as easy as 1-2-3.
Last year we had an amazing amount of canopies extended over our designated spot with a grill cooking all kinds of food such as Carne Asada, red chicken, hamburger, hot dogs, corn, and more. Expect new foods to be introduced to our menu. We are planning more Asian food such as lumpia and more.
We setup up our canopies as always to provide shade from the summer sun where most of our electronic entertainment will setup. Every year, I ask any who could assist to the success to our 4th of July BBQ and virtually everyone comes through with overwhelming support. Last year we had friends bring sodas, chips, cookies, water, food, and a whole lot of other goodies... Thank you much...
I will definitely will need help this year since this is my first year and want things to be just right. As always, help setting up and/or the evening take down is greatly appreciated. Usually, the greater need is in the morning as normally there are more than enough people to help take down. Please contact me for details.
The Entertainment Center
This year I'm going to have a projector hooked up to Danny's laptop where he has a whole grip of old school NES and Super NES games. To that, it will projected on to a projection screen so we can have the maximum viewing pleasure. We can also watch DVD movies, videos, and whatever else that crosses our minds. This will be our own personal Entertainment center... Note: We had this setup last year and everyone just loved it...
This year is definitely gonna rock!!! Yeah Baby!!!!
