The Sutherlin Stampede Flag Team is an integral part of our rodeo. They carry all our sponsors flags throughout the community in parades throughout the summer as well as during the Grand Entry at our Rodeo in July. The Flag Team also participates by doing their drill in a community event for seniors in the earlier part of the year involving many equine groups from around the community!
Our flag team requires 18 members that are dedicated to the rodeo plus 4 parades. As a member you must also be willing to attend practices on a weekly basis throughout most of the spring and summer months.
The team must raise money by getting donations and sponsorships in order to pay for their gear and apparel. They also sell 50/50 tickets and Sutherlin Stampde logo tees at the rodeo to raise money.
