"My name is Susan Maggio Larberg and I live in beautiful Brooksville, Hernando County, Florida, the "Nature Coast" on the Gulf of Mexico, about 45 minutes North of Tampa. I came here 18 years ago from Long Island, New York. I owned a crafts business for 12 years and sold it last year. I had written a book on designing unique gift baskets (available here) and started designing my vintage-inspired jewelry again. I started selling it on Ebay. Then a dear artist friend of mine, Kim from The Mystic Garden, introduced me to ATC's and altered objects, saying how much I would love it. I never even heard of this before. Well, I found my passion!!! I just love designing ATC's and anything that can be altered. I've been doing it for years for myself and didn't know it was a new type of genre in the art world! I have so many ideas that I find I can hardly sleep at night making mental lists of what to make the next day! A true craftsperson, wouldn't you say, as I do not see myself as an artist, but a creative person who has so many wonderful and unique designs to share with those who will appreciate it. I love adding dimension to most of my ATCs, therefore, many of my cards are 3D. I also love adding vintage pieces of jewelry so you will find this on many of my cards. I have tons of vintage jewelry I have collected over the years and I enjoy finding pieces to embellish my cards by color, shape, or theme of the piece. So much love goes into my cards because I have something I truly love designing! I hope it shows. I love sharing it!   An ATC is an Artist Trading Card.  ATCs were originally traded among artists and now have become a very popular collecting item among many art enthusiasts and are offered on E-Bay. ACEOs are Art Cards Editions & Originals I am pleased to share some of my personal collection of originally designed mixed media,  altered Art Cards.   Whether they are bought, sold or traded, Art Cards are such a wonderful way to collect a miniature gallery of artwork.  Each is designed on a playing card,  mat board or even glass with paints, inks, decorative papers, embellishments, stamped and vintage images and whatever else my creative heart is drawn to. Each card is a signed by me as an altered art original.   I offer you both, whatever creation enters my mind.
