A Look at the Kamikaze Pilots

This amazing photo gives the viewer a chance to study history. Each of the pilots, as can be seen, are well aware of their chances in surviving the mission. Their faces show an unmistaken awareness of the death they will experience shortly. In the background are American pilots who are being forced to be a part of this weird ritual. The life jackets they can be seen wearing are of the same manufacture as the ones shown on their army troops who were shot out of palm tree tops in the Guadalcanal jungles. Why the Japanese officials would ever agree to have the picture taken is certainly another mystery.
