Oct 14, 2007...TIGERS HAND THE PANTHERS THEIR 1ST LOSS OF THE SEASON The Streetsville Tigers defeated the unbeatan Vaughan Panthers on Sunday evening 2-1, handing them their 1st loss of the season. With the teams tied up after 2 periods after David Gallo potted one for the Tigers, it was anyones game. The 3rd period was filled with opportunities at both ends of the rink but the goaltenders were stellar. At times the Panthers tried to dominate the game with speed and effective body checking but the Tigers were up to the challenge and handed out a few checks of their own. Late i the 3rd period Kyle Morrison performed his best imitation of Grand Larceny in the Panthers zone by stealing the puck and walking in the Panthers goalie. With a little bit of "this" and a little bit of "that", Morrison adeptly manipulated the puck in a manner that only could be duplicated by a surgeon and rammed the puck into a wide open net. The tigers fended off the final surge by the Panthers and took the win 2-1. All this while playing without regulars Ryan Johnston, Mark Shiozaki and Dustin Hayward. Congratulations Tigers...gutsy win!!!
