January 6, 2008...TIGERS LEAP INTO 3RD PLACE WITH A 7-0 VICTORY OVER THE TERRIERS The Tigers won their 7th game in a row Sunday night with a decisive 7-0 victory over the Mississauga Terriers. With that win they find themselves in 3rd place and only 1 point behind the 2nd place Vaughan Panthers with a game in hand. While they have been playing well as of late they need to sustain their consistency and be prepared for some tough matches with some of the more competitive teams in the next few weeks. With the ever present Ryan Johnston (there Scott I got his name in even though he didn't play) sitting this one out the Tigers were missing one of their more "energetic" players! It should also be noted that Brendan Post celebrated a recent birthday and is looking forward to continuing his growth spurt!!! In last nights game the goal scorers were Kyle Morrison & Dustin 2 goals each, with one of Dustin’s goals coming on an exciting penalty shot. Singles were scored by Brendan Post, Joey Timpano & Justin Iskra. The Tigers next game is Wednesday night against the Etobicoke Canucks who are fighting it out for the final playoff spot, no game can be taken lightly. |
