TIGERS LOSE BUT GET AN “A” FOR EFFORT

The Streetsville Tigers played their second game in as many nights against the 4th place Humberview Huskies. This was their 1st meeting of the season but the Tigers would be carrying some momentum from their 8-1 victory the night before. Coach Canavan and Emanuele have both been reinforcing with the boys the need out work their opponents and consistently beat them to the puck. While the boys were able to execute successfully on Thursday night, consistency would be the key.

The 1st period proved to be an enormous effort by the Tigers and as the game progressed the intensity remained at a high level. The Tigers forced the play on many occasions, giving the Huskies fits. Ryan Johnston scored twice for the Tigers, with a 3rd marker being added by David Canavan. Unfortunately the Humberview Huskies scored 4 of their own to make the final score in favour of the Huskies.

Despite the loss, the effort exhibited by the Tigers was a positive outcome for the team. Once again they are showing that they can play with some of the teams at the top of the division. The next game for the Tigers is against the Mississauga North Stars on Tuesday evening and should they bring the same work ethic once thing for sure it will be an entertaining affair.
