March 22,2007…TIGERS ADVANCE TO THE FINALS BY DEFEATING THE TORONTO AEROS 5-0 AT CENTENNIAL ARENA The Streetsville Tigers flexed their muscle last night in a pivotal game against the Toronto Aeros to advance to the finals of the King Clancy Tournament. While consistency has been a problem for parts of the season the Tigers were determined to not let this opportunity slip away and clearly were looking to send a message to their opponents in the final. Nick Wallace started the scoring in the 1st period by knocking in a rebound after a hard shot from Mark Shiozaki. Adam Galbraith set up the play by masterfully winning the face-off and drawing it back to the anxious Shiozaki at the point. In the 2nd period the Tigers scored 3 more goals. Ryan Johnston firing one off the face-off and Justin Iskra tallying for the other 2. Iskra used all parts of the ent by roofing it on his 1st one and deflecting the 2nd low on a shot from ”Lefty” Galbraith. The 3rd period saw David “D” Johnston tap in a rebound around the crease area after pinching from his regular defensive position. The Tigers now advance to the finals Saturday.
