Yes Madeleine is missing OMG a child is missing

Every year the Czech police receive several thousand reports of missing children. In 2004, the figure came close to ten thousand - that's in a country with a population of only ten million.

In Italy, police records show that 1850 minors went missing in 2005

In Belgium, the number of dossiers reported by the police was 1022 in 2005

In the UK, police recorded 846 cases of child abductions in 2002/03, while the total cases of missing children (runaways for any reason) is estimated at 70000 annually.

It’s nice that thousands of children disappear every year and know one even notices.

As soon as a rich kid disappears it’s a tragedy, just because the family has more money doesn’t make her life any more important.

Funny how know one bothers doing a world wide search for any other child who disappears. Maybe this one is special.

I think it’s sick and twisted that just because people feel bad and send chain letters they are doing their bit and after this all blows over we can all go back to watching TV pretending all is right again in the world.

When was the last time you saw images of child soldiers plastered all over the news for weeks

People quickly send money to help fund the search for Madeleine but wouldn't dream of sending £1 a month for a children's charity
