Origami Butterfly– Instructions
Introduction
The Origami Butterfly, figure 1, is quick and easy to make. The materials necessary include construction paper, markers or crayons, a pipe cleaner or curling ribbon for antennae and scissors. Making Origami Butterfly’s consists of six steps.

Step One:
Make a square piece of paper by folding the corner of a piece of paper over.
Step Two:
Now that you made the square, cut off the small rectangle, forming a square.
Step Three:
Now that you have a triangle, fold the triangle in half.
Step Four:
Now that you have folded the triangle in half:
1. Open the fold you just made.
2. Put the triangle on the table with the central fold pointing up.
3. Fold one corner of the triangle over.
Step Five:
Now that you have folded one corner, fold the other corner over.
Step six:
Now that you have a butterfly shape, decorate the butterfly by attaching two antennae made of pipe cleaners or curling ribbon.
