Here are some backstage pictures from Mayfield Secondary School's production of The Sound of Music! The Sound of Music was a huge success directed by drama teacher Mr. N Kilbertus, with Musical direction by Mr. M Peterson, orchestra direction by Mr. M Moon, Nun Choir Director by Ms. J Cusimano, and Stage Managers Ava McDonald and Melissa Paquette-Smith. The cast included a large number of Regional Arts students and children brought in from other schools including in the lead roles: Kelsey Taylor (Maria), Andrew Filice (Captain von Trapp), Samantha Piper (Elsa Schraeder), Ryan Jeffrey (Max Detweiller), Rebecca Shoalts (Liesl), Casey Manierka-Quail (Friedrich), Melissa Perry (Louisa), Patrick Bourne (Kurt), Jessica Weinhart (Brigitta), Sara Hopkinson (Marta),Lily Hopkison (Gretl), David Comeau (Rolf Gruber) Jeannette Goode (The Mother Abbess) A huge ensemble choir of nuns included such leading nuns as Rebecca Perry (Berthe), Sara Wilkinson (Sophia), Gabriela Farias (Margaretta), Kesia Whonder (Agatha), Andrea McGrath (Katherine), and Rebecca Moran (Bernice). Also in the cast was a large ballroom ensemble, and several non-singing roles played by Michael Grzeiszczak (Herr Zeller), Nicolino DeFrancesco (Admiral von Schreiber), Jill Earl (Frau Schmidt), Elijah Smith (Franz), and Liz Hodgson (Fraulein Schweigger) All of these people and many more contributed to making the Sound of Music one of Mayfield's most memorable musicals to date!!!

Cast and crew of Sound of Music,

Today is November 25th 2007, 2 years after the most amazing show at mayfield happened. I was googling my name, and I found this site. I just wanted to say that THAT was the most fun I've ever had doing a play. I also wanted to say that I miss each and every one of you guys! I know some of you have graduated but for those who havn't I hope I'll see you next year. (If I get into mayfield)
