Signet: An eight-pointed compass star; the arms pointing in the cardinal directions are long, while those pointing in secondary directions are shorter. Princess Tranquility's signet differs from that of her mother, father, and sister in that the royal family's eight-point star all arms are the same length.

Family History: The Tranquility bloodline has been ruling over Solstice for eons. Legend tells of how Solstice itself was created when the very first Queen Tranquility unleashed the great power of the royal family's treasured heirloom jewel. Very few people believe this story to be actual fact, but it is well-known none-the-less. King Serenity is actually a distant cousin of the current Queen Tranquility--the blood shared by Crown Princess Tranquility and Princess Tranquility is considered to be "pure" in all regards. (Except, of course, inbreeding...)

Current Status of the Royal Family: Princess Tranquility is the only survivor of a deadly attack on the royal palace.

Likes:
          Red Bean Ice Cream - Anrui is fond of sweet red beans in many different kinds of food, but she especially likes the delicate taste when combined with the smooth coolness of ice cream.
          Darkness - Bright light gives Anrui very painful headaches, and she finds darkness to be more calming. Sometimes it is also frightening, because her imagination is more than willing to think up horrible illusions to lurk in the dark, but usually Anrui finds dark places soothing. She really can't relax unless the room is dark.
          Classical Music - The princess loves classical music because of the rolling, soothing sound. Even when she is having a particularly bad day, listening to classical music can calm her at least so that she can sleep. She becomes very upset, however, whenever hearing pieces that were favourites of Kiki because Anrui is still having a very hard time adjusting to the loss of such a noble leader.
          Fantasy Stories - Anrui enjoys reading, but typically limits herself to fantasy stories and fairy tales. She loves stories of princesses who have happy endings, mostly because she doesn't have one herself. Such stories inspire some self-confidence within the girl and keep alive a glimmer of hope that things will turn out well in the end.
          Butterflies - The small girl feels sympathy for these short-lived, beautiful creatures who form from almost nothing. She wishes that she could evolve as that they do.

Dislikes:
          Insomnia - Anrui is plagued with it. She is very nervous and rather paranoid, and oftentimes her thoughts are whirling around in her head with such force that she finds it impossible to get any rest. This has increased greatly through the many trials faced during her tenth year.
          Crows - The battles with Sailor Lead Crow have caused Anrui to develop a heightened dislike, nearly a fear, of crows. Just hearing their cries makes her shudder and feel uneasy.
          Cold Weather - Her small size makes her particularly susceptible to cold weather. Besides the unpleasantness of feeling extremely cold, low temperatures heighten the symptoms of some of Anrui's illnesses, making her even more miserable.
          Shooting Stars - Although others may find the falling celestial objects beautiful, Anrui just feels worried and sorry for the stars that will no longer shine. Lately she has been feeling as though there have been more and more shooting stars, which the girl thinks can only be indicative of negative things brewing.
          Her Heritage - Anrui greatly dislikes being royalty. She has always wished that she were normal, just like the people she was kept "protected" from. Now, as things have only gotten worse, she wishes she were average even more.

Hobbies:
          Playing the Piano - Although she has been tutored for numerous years, Anrui still plays rather clumsily, but she enjoys it. Recently, however, she has stopped playing the piano because it reminds her of Kiki, who had been accepted as a new piano tutor only a short while before the disasterous attack.
          Singing - The young princess is rather musically inclined, and enjoys singing when she thinks she is alone. Anrui is afraid of criticism and would never dream of singing for an audience, even a small audience of close companions.
          Sleeping - With the way things have been going for the past year, all Anrui wants is to escape. Unfortunately for her, there is no way out. The closest she can get is temporary rest provided by sleep, so she tries to get as much as possible.
          Daydreaming - She is very introspective, and if left to her own devices will spend her time sitting in solitude, pondering many things. It used to be that Anrui's mind was filled with dreams of a happy future, but those are slowly being banished to oblivion, and now she spends her time brooding.

Goals: All of Anrui's goals have been shattered. Her family is gone, most of her teammates are gone, the world has been thrown into darkness, and she is incredibly alone. She wants to return things to the way they were, but knows that is impossible.

Family:
          King Serenity - Anrui's father was harsh and cold, so the two had a hard time connecting because Anrui's nervous personality irritated her father and she, in turn, feared him. The ruler was quick to punish and never understood his daughter. Anrui always felt unloved, especially when witness to the way her older sister was praised.
          Queen Tranquility - Anrui deeply loved her mother but never received the time she needed. Queen Tranquility was always busy, and the princess usually only saw her mother at nighttime or on special occasions. She never felt close to her, but always longed to.
          Crown Princess Tranquility - Anrui's relationship with her older sister, Mirai, was rocky and generally unpleasant. The nervous, timid youngest princess was constantly mistreated by her bold, self-satisfied sibling. Anrui was upset by the clear favouring of Mirai, while Mirai felt threatened by the constant attention paid to Anrui because she was so often sick. This lead to bullying that caused Anrui to form a deep resentment for Mirai, eventually culminating in her murder, something Anrui will never forgive herself for even though it happened while Anrui was possessed by Chaos.

          Although Anrui is ten years old, various illnesses have left her growth extremely stunted and her body underweight. The average observer would think she is around age five. She tends to look unwell, with her large eyes, pale skin, and flushed cheeks.

Build: Anrui is extremely thin. In most instances, her bone structure is clearly visible. She has small, cold hands and feet. Her general shape is very childish, yet quite delicate. There is an air around her that suggests she might shatter if she were to be bumped into.

Skin Tone: Very pale, nearly ivory. You can easily see her veins. The only real colour she has is on the apples of her cheeks, where the skin is usually flushed. She bruises easily, so her skin is often marked with various discolourations.

Eye Colour: Navy Blue, with silver luminescence at various angles. Her eyes are large and make her face look even more peaked.

Hair Colour: Golden Brown

Hair Style: The princess's curly hair is extremely long. To keep it manageable, she pulls it up in high ponytails, twirling some of the excess into a bun and leaving the rest to hang down. The resulting pigtails curl into thick ringlets. Her bangs are always neatly trimmed. They are parted down the center and curl inward, framing the white mark on her forehead.

Significant Characteristics: The white mark of her signet shines in the center of her forehead.

Attire: As princess of the known world, Anrui is nearly always seen in various gowns of differentiating degrees of formality depending on the situation. In some cases she has been dressed up in more casual, civilian clothing, but only when she is attempting to navigate the world beyond the castle walls without being discovered. The colours she wears most often are white and blue.

Transformation Item: A glowing, pale-blue, crystal, diamond-shaped prism pendant which hangs from a delicate gold necklace. She received this item from her shadow during a dream-sequence after the destruction of the heirloom bracelet passed down from her mother, which shattered during the murders committed as Princess Naiou.

Transformation Phrase: "Shadowed Prismatic Clarity, Make Up!"

Transformation Sequence: The charm on her necklace begins to glow with a pastel blue light. Anrui becomes a silver silhouette, and she is spins around once, forming a circle of white light around her feet. She crosses her arms before her and pushes them out; white light forms and glimmers upward, surrounding her. It slowly moves up her figure, and a senshi fuku becomes visible. She brushes her hair out of her face and spins around once more. Glittery lipgloss flashes across her lips, and she opens her eyes. Her weapon appears, and she holds it before her, posing quietly.

Name: Technically, she has no name, but is informally referred to as "Dark Anrui" or "Dark Solstice."

Origin: The shadow Anrui was originally created during one of the later battles in the fight against Sailor Lead Crow. Conjured up by a magician who had trapped the sailor senshi on a half-sunken barge, this creature was one of many sent out to destroy their original. Although each of the others managed to destroy their shadow, Sailor Solstice, being both weak and emotionally unstable, was unable to. She was killed--or so she thought--by this phantasm, only to awaken unharmed in an unknown area. Since that time, the shadow has haunted her, although she does not realize it.

Appearance: The shadow looks identical to Anrui, except her eyes are a darker shade of blue and her hair is a deep chocolate brown. Whenever she appears, she is either clad in various extremely intricate black outfits or a black sailor senshi uniform similar to that of Sailor Solstice. In the sailor senshi form, the shadow carries a menacing scythe.

Essential Notes: The shadow is in no way related to Princess Naiou, who was the form of Princess Tranquility when corrupted by Chaos. Dark Anrui has a strange habit of protecting Anrui from harm when the young princess has a break-down and even possesses her own transformation ability into a form that appears to be, at least cosmetically, a sailor senshi. At the moment it is also speculated that the shadow Anrui cannot be destroyed.
