This ship, the USS Gambier Bay, was almost identical to the USS Liscombe Bay and the USS Hoggatt Bay.  The USS Hoggatt Bay had one major difference however, it finished the war on the surface.  If it hadn't, I probably wouldn't have been here to write this, since it was my ship.
