We would like to invite all to a mid-summer gathering. This year the Freehold of TIR is hosting the Shire of Smithwick’s June event, and the site is a special treat! The new location is a large, secluded, private plot of land with a beautiful Viking longhouse (an authentic iron-age hall)!
In addition to the standard heavy weapons, archery and thrown weapons, there will be extra specialty shoots, throws, and combat games. Classes will be taught on SCA siege, combat archery, and beginner thrown weapons. A simple meal of bread and spreads, cheese, and a simple stew, will be available for supper at no extra cost as well.
After the meal, we will be having a wonderful performance put on by the host, after which all are welcome to bring their talents to the fore at an open bardic circle.
Site opens on Friday and closes Sunday at noon and everyone is invited to come and set up camp for the weekend if they are so inclined. Authorizations and armor inspection start at TBA. No pets are allowed, and children must be supervised for safety. The site is discreetly damp.
Cost for SCA members will be announced. So come pitch your tent, or just visit for the day, and let’s enjoy the celebration together with family and friends! Unlimited camping space and vendors are welcome. For more information or questions this information will be updated soon.

From North: South on Highway 1 to B Road just after Dollar store on the right. Take the right onto B Road 3 miles to Back Ridge Road (on the right) Follow SCA signs to site.
From South: I 95 north to Houlton (Exit 302). Take a left from the off ramp onto Route 1 (under the bridges) to the B Road (directly before the Dollar store on the left). Take the left onto the B Road and travel 3 miles to Back Ridge Road (on right) Follow SCA signs to site.

From Canada: Houlton Road (Route 95) from Woodstock to Border. At US Border, follow I-95 to exit 302.
