These cars were originally built in various Pullman lots to Pullman Plan # 3958A, equiped with 14 Sections. The cars were built of heavyweight steel, were non-airconditioned, rode on 6 wheel trucks and had a 32 Volt Electrical sysytem. In 1935 the cars were equiped with AC (as noted). In 1939, the cars were rebuilt by Pullman to plan # 4084B, config = 6 Section - 6 Double bedrooms, and were sold as Pullman Diagram # 18 (rooms "A&B", "C&D" and "E&F" could be connected ensuite)
In 1950 all cars were assigned Pullman Car Codes.
KITTSON, 1928 built, Pullman Lot # 6174. 1935 steam ejector AC installed. Pullman Car Code # 3659. 1960 scrapped
The following 6 cars were built in 1930 to Pullman Lot # 6373, and were assigned to GN
In 1935 they received Ice Activated air-conditioning and when rebuilt the cars were assigned to GN's "Empire Builder".
In 1948 the 5 of the cars were sold to GN and 1 to CB&Q (noted) and leased back to Pullman.
