Welcome to the page devoted to the series from the 70's, kolchak: the night stalker.  This is also devoted to the horror/puzzle game from 1995 Shivers by Sierra.  The inspiration for this fic actually came from a few sources.  The first being the fic by my friend who is writing a Silent Hill fic.  As part of the tribute to him, I asked to use his character in the fic.  He agreed.  Second, this story was inspired by the series from the 70's.  In the first few chapters, I never said that Carl in the stories is Carl Kolchak.  I had wanted that to be a surprise.  The third inspiration for the story is the game I mentioned earlier.  This is not the first story that the old game has inspired.  I began writing the fic in March of 2005.

It should be noted that on February 25, 2006, almost a full year after I started this fic, Darren McGavin passed away.  All future chapters will be dedicated in his memory.
