We are reminded of the story of DEMETER(Mother GODDESS Earth)
in search of PERSEPHONE(KORE)her daughter. Persephone was
stolen by HADES and became QUEEN of the UNDERWORLD.
Accordingly, WINTER overtook “The EARTH’ as DEMETER was
overcome with DESPAIR at the Loss of her Daughter. In time ,
DEMETER was helped by HECATE who showed her where her
daughter was. DEMETER struck a deal with that SOMBER LORD
of SHADES and He agreed to let Persephone return to the surface
for a few months, to visit DEMETER. SPRINGTIME was the GIFT
that was given by Persephone’s joyful return!

So it is still today! Springtime is when we see again the unfolding
of LIFE upon our Blessed and SACRED Mother Earth.FLORALIA
began in ROME and spread over the ancient world . The original
festival started around April 27 and lasted through the first weeks
of May. Today we still celebrate this JOYOUS occasion all over the
world as MAY DAYand Mothers Day. We send FLOWERS to show
our LOVE and ENJOY the Healing Essences that those subtle scents bestow.

FLORA is the patron of all WOMEN as we embody her qualities of
