August 17, 7:21 PM - Long time no see

This is the first update to this site in over a month. I just thought I'd drop by and see if it was still here, and it is, albeit a little dusty. I do have an idea for a comic, but the past has tought me that that don't mean that one will be made. I have a bunch of news to share, but I'm lazy and don't feel like telling it all.

Eh... that's all I feel like saying for now...

July 12, 12:12 AM - Life goes on, but it's boring as hell

So it seems that I was right in the fact that I woulnd't be getting to the next comic anytime soon. I have however managed to pull away from Oblivion for the last few days now. Thing is, I started playing Kingdom Hearts 2 again. I actually finished the game the other day and am in a current state of gamer flux. I don't know if I should keep playing KH2 until I 100% it, or to start playing Oblivion again, or to replay some other game of mine, or to just not do anything, to just remain in videogame anatchy. The latter seems to be whats happening for now and thats alright, but I thing I'll make my decision fairly soon.

We got a cat a few days ago and that's cool. Someone left her on Chelsea's dad's lawn and he took her in. He gave her to us to either cat-sit for him until he got back from a trip or to keep. We have decided to keep her for now. Chelsea wanted to call her Toulouse (from the Aristcocats movie) but I suggested Chloe (obviously). Chloe it was. She's cool and really laid back. The thing is, we can't figure out what kind of cat she is, being that she's mostly grey with tan and white markings. Her head has sort of a calico thing going on, but her hind legs look tabby-ish. Oh well, it don't really matter anyways. We also think she might be pregnant, which would be cool, but suck at the same time. Kittens are awesome but the mess they make is not. Quite the opposite really. Only time, (or a trip to the vet) will tell.

Hmm, what else happened to me in the last few weeks, oh, that's right. Fuck all! Jeez my life is boring. I guess I have been learning to play FF7 songs on the 'gittar', there's progress there, but not too much. And I did draw a picture of Chloe (comic version) playing Oblivion. But other than that, nothing but work, sleep, and the occasional trip to Burger King to get some of them new Stacker burgers they got there. Tasty.

In case you've been waiting (I doubt it), a new comic is in the works. If I manage to keep at it, it might be ready by the end of the week or even sooner. But don't hold your breath.

Right then, I suppose that's it for now. See y'all later.

June 19, 2:01 PM - Soultrapped

Well I'm finally back with a new comic. To think that I said I'd get right to the next comic. That was 3 weeks ago! What can I say, I'm a born procrastinator. Plus it doesn't help that I have been attached at the face to my computer for the last week and a half. I bought Oblivion for it and have been ruthlessly addicted to it, playing it when I had even a fraction of a second to play. It's just that good.

Lately I can pull away from it for sporadic periods of time to do other more productive things, like drawing, 'playing' guitar (I suck at it right now), and doing fuck-all. I also made a crude little flash animation that can be seen on my account over at deviantART. Playing Oblivion also gives me inspiration to draw more detailed sketches of elves and khajiit and whatnot, so that rocks.

Well, I can feel that siren call of Oblivion again, so that means I'll be signing off again. I actually do hope to get to the next comic soon, though I doubt it'll happen within this month.

May 28, 2:33 AM - Spiders are unnatuarlly speedy

Well, I finally got to making a new comic. Sorry 'bout that long wait, but I suffer from bouts of writers block very easily. I hope to start the next comic within the next few days, that way I get a bit longer time to work on it. Anyways, the new comic is up and running for you to peruse, so peruse away. Right then, now that that's out of the way we can move on to more pressing matters. Uh...well it seems that there are no pressing matters at the moment, so.... yeah....

Oh, thats right! I watched Final Fantasy: Advent Children yesterday, and wow. Good stuff. Watching it made me nostalgic about when I first played FF7, and that felt good. I just wish that Cloud's sword from the movie was a weapon in the game. I mean, a sword that splits up into 6 different swords is awesome. Think, a Swiss army knife the size of a sword, with none of the useless spoons and bottle openers. Just more swords. Awesome. I hope beyond hope that they make a direct sequel to either the game or the movie, but the outcome looks grim. Too bad.

Well that seems to be the only thing that I can type about for now, so I think I'll head 'er in for the night. Until next time folks...

P.S. I was quite startled by a spider as I typed this entry. Normally, spiders don't creep me out, but when you start seeing things out of the corner of your eye and suddenly a spider darts out from under a notebook and straight for you, you get the heebie-jeebies. I squished him quite dead. Little bastard.

May 11, 10:56 PM - 760 dollars later...

Here it is, the new comic. I decided to go with just using a pencil for this comic to see what it looked like, and I think it looks at little better. I can't erase the pencil smudges as well though, and some lines won't look as crisp, but I hate the inaccuracy of ink, as well as the fact that it's very hard to fix mistakes, at least, for me anyways. I should look into getting a smaller tipped pen. Oh well, I'll do that later or something. Let the procrastination begin, after a little bit...maybe...

Right then. On to my next announcement. I just bought a new computer. Yay! It rocks my socks like no other computer that I have owned. I bought the tower and a 17' LCD flat-screen monitor for $760 at Future Shop. It makes me happy. Yay! So far my brother Trevor says that it's better than his, and that's saying a lot. The only things that I need to buy now are a good video card and more RAM. Then I need a router and I can hook it up to the interweb. Hooray for my new computer!

P.S. New computer! Yay! Woo! Yaywoo!

May 5, 7:17 PM - Videogames and Strippers

Sorry if you've been looking for a new comic. I've been too busy playing games to make one. I've played some of Chelsea's Harvest Moon now, and I enjoy it quite nicely. It's fun, as long as you count virtual farming an engaging pass time. Like me. Also, I went and picked up Kingdom Hearts II and boy, is this the most confusing start of a game I've encountered thus far. It was all over the place; something would happen, but then it didn't happen, then you start seeing weird shit, but then time stops and you have to fight monsters, but then time started again and the monsters were never there, then your head explodes from the strain of trying to understand just what the fuck is going on. Although, I was kind of amused to find that the first hour or so of the game came before the official starting title of the game, you know, the one you usually see at the beginning of a new game? After that the story is much easier to follow. Overall, I'd say that this is a good investment of my money, and that's a good thing.

I had quite the night on Wednesday. Me, Chelsea, Dylan and Lawrence(a friend from work) went to a titty bar and got hammered. I thought that going would be awkward and uncomfortable, but it wasn't too bad. Not only did I get drunk, I got to see some titties too. It's a good combination. Damn were those strippers in good shape, climbing all over the poles and dancing and whatnot. The one was especially athletic. She was hanging upside-down on the pole and doing all these crazy moves, It was like Cirque du Soleil with nudity. Crazy shit. The only downpoint of the evening was when I threw up all over the toilet when we got home. The funny thing though, is that I can't remember actually throwing up. I only remember afterwards when I tried to clean it up but couldn't because I was too drunk and tired. Chelsea and Dylan cleaned it up afterwards, and for that I am in their debt. I was in no state to do it, and if I had waited until I woke up to clean it up, I probably would've thrown up again. I'm glad I have such good friends. The most amasing thing though, was the fact that I didn't get any puke on my clothes. Thank god for lifes little miracles!

April 27, 10:10 AM - New comic, what now?

Well, I finally got around to making a new comic, even though Kingdom Hearts still manages to hold me in its deathgrip. I had stopped playing the game for almost a week, and then I started playing again and couldn't stop. You know it's a good game when it can do that to you. Final Fantasy Tactics is the same way, and it's quite old by now. It's crazy how some things can do that to you, even books and movies and shit.

Yesterday Chelsea went and picked up Harvest Moon: Magical Melody. She played the shit out of the last Harvest Moon. I tried the other one and found it enjoyable, but I didn't have the patience to play it for too long. I'll have to try this one out as soon as Chelsea is done figuring out what the hell she's doing. As it stands right now, she has no clue as to what she's supposed to do. Sure you're supposed to farm and shit in the game but, it doesn't really tell you what's going on. It probably doesn't help that the vilage close to you relies on your farm doing good in order to prosper. Oh well, I'm sure she'll figure it all out in time. I hope so anyways so she can tell me what to do when I play.

Last night Chelsea's boyfriend brought over a burned dvd with some of the Drawn Together episodes on it and damn is that show funny. If you haven't seen or heard of the show before, go out and watch it, like, right now. If you have seen the show and don't like it, then you suck and should burn in hell for it... but that's just my opinion. Everyone's entitled to an opinion, but unfortunately that includes a lot of idiots. Right then, that's all I have to say for now.

April 24, 3:36 AM - Too much to do, too little time

Sorry I haven't been updating lately. I just have a lot on my proverbial plate at the moment. I have recently joined a site called Deviant Art and have been lurking there for the past week or whatever. Even though there has been a lack of attention to the comic, it has not been a complete loss. Because I have joined an art-based website, I have been drawing a lot more frequently then I ever have, even since the start of my comic. It really helps having all of that art around as well, providing inspiration and what have you. I have placed a link to my deviantart page in the Navigation Station (that thing on the left). In the past few days or so I have also tested out some flash animation, and have found it quite fun. I made two flashes, one being more of a slideshow than an animation, both involving Scary Dragon. I plan to make more eventually, but I think it might have to wait until after I actually buy a flash maker program thing (I'm currently using a trial demo, and have only 8 days left).

If you only visit this site to check out the totally awesome comics and are worried about the lack of new strips, then have no fear as a new one is currently in the makings. Yup that's right, so sit tight and prepare to be amused. Or bored, but I certainly hope not.

April 18, 3:06 AM - New Comic

I finally got around to drawing a new comic. The scanner is behaving now and I was able to scan it in. Hurray for you, eh? I will continue on with thi current story for now. Until a change my mind that is. Which happens a lot. But yeah, I should rest up for a big day of 'fuck all' tomorrow, (yay for day off!) so I'd better get a little shuteye. I don't mind you sticking around after I leave, just remember to lock the door when you go.

SD out.

April 16, 4:35 PM - No Cartridge, No Scanner, No sense making

Fuck! I hate this printer/scanner/fax/copier thing that Chelsea has! It apparently doesn't work for shit without ink in it. I understand that printers need ink to print. That's understandable. But why the hell would it need ink to scan things!? What the fucking fuck? I tried to scan in a sketch today and the fuckin' thing said 'No cartridge. Open scanner cover, then reinstall ink cartridge.' I don't get it. Is ink an integral part of scanning nowadays? Or is this printer/scanner/piece-of-shit just being a dick? Probably the latter, as that would make more sense. A lot more. But yeah, I need my own scanner. And an internet connection for my computer so's I can use it instead of Chelsea's.

In other news, my cold has gone away. Yes, yes, I know you've all been worried for my health. You can rest easy now. Ha. I'm such a bastard.

April 8, 10:39 PM - Addicted to goodness

Mood - Blerg
Urge to kill - Rising

Ugh! I hate getting sick! It sucks the big ass. I may have been asking for it for a while though, as I haven't been getting a lot of sleep lately. Goddamn Katamari and Kingdom Hearts. Katamari is as addictive as fuck, and Kingdom Hearts is just plain awesome. There's nothing like playing a game where everytime you turn around there's some Disney or Final Fantasy character you recognize. I can't wait til the part with Cloud. It's gonna be sweet.

As it turns out, I'm not the only one in this house to get violently addicted to Katamari. Chelsea was watching me play it the other day, saying what a stupid game it was, even though she couldn't stop watching. Now she plays it when she gets home from work. As I type, Dylan has given in and has started playing. I wonder if he can resist it's funderful charms? I kinda hope not, so I can play two player mode with him.

In other news, I finally got around to drawing a new comic. It follows the first story line in case you get confused. The two bus stop comics were 'non-canon', meaning not following the story. Yeah. I will try to escape the clutches of Kingdom Hearts for a while later to make the next comic. 'Try' being the operative word. Peace out 'n stuff.

April 5, 8:20 PM - I Heart Money

So last night I went back to my parents place to take the last of my shit out of the basement. Just before we got home my parents stopped at the post office to see if they had any mail. My mom popped into the office for a moment, and when she got back she handed me an envelope. It was my tax return. I had it sent to my parents place because I was in the middle of moving into a new house. I had also managed to make just under $8,000 in the last year, so I ended up getting about $660 back. Yay! Not only did I get my tax return, but today was pay-day. I got almost $600 in this check. So now I had $1,200, $175 of which was for leftover bills. That makes for a lot of pocket money. A lot, for me anyways (damn rich people in their ivory towers). The only problem now was what to use the money for. New computer? Xbox 360? Save it up for college? Instinct kicked in and hours later I had bought two games, both of which I had wanted to play for some time now. The first was Kingdom Hearts, a game which has piqued my interest. Think Final Fantasy. Now think Disney. Now put them together and you get one weird ass game. I have yet to try it though, as the second game has usurped all my game time. The second game being We Heart Katamari. This game has to be the best game ever. I laughed my ass off when I got to go crazy with my katamari in the zoo. I was suckin' up first cats, deer, sheep, monkeys and other small animals, and then I was rollin' over lions, tigers, bears (oh my!), and finally my katamari was big enough to roll over an elephant. I gave a triumphant cheer when this happened. It's just too bad that I have to work tommorow, or I'd play this all next day too! I had better make time in my schedule to draw another comic as well. I do have to finish off the first story, now that I think of it. I should do that before I make any others, which I kinda want to do. Oh well... I'm sure I'll get to it...

April 4, 1:43 AM - Work complete! For now...

I have just finished the new 'n' improved comics section, and I must rest my typin' fingers for now, or after this post rather. It was all good until I found that I still had links to the old comics page all over the friggin' place, so I had to go through everything and fix crap. I also got rid of all the links to the HTML Training page, a page I use to test out shit. Although, if it still isn't fixed yet, it's because I missed and will fix it later. Maybe. I dunno. Now I must rest up for another day of mediocrity...

April 3 - Rawr!

So I'm supposed to get DSL tommorow. Yay! I fucking hate this slow-ass dial-up shit. Dead snails move faster than dial-up. And it doesn't help that my roommate Chelsea's wacko ex-boyfriend/roommate fucked up the computer by putting a bunch of spyware and shit on it. It also doesn't help that he downloaded said programs onto the computer, and when they expired, he would download another program. Furthermore, he would change the name of the programs and hide them in the computer, so she wouldn't find them. He is what I call a fuck-tard, and as far as fuck-tards go, he is one of the most fuck-tardiest of them all. But i digress...

I plan on making the comics section more elborate right away, even though I still don't know a better to do it. Oh well, I'll learn sooner of later. Hopefully sooner though, 'cause that'll save a lot of time and work. And I hate work, being the lazy bastard I am.

In other news, there is a new comic up now, go see it if you care to.

Well... That's enough of a post for now. Hope to see you soon.

Scary Dragon out.
