          So, why support government cultural funding?

           It's working! Artists no longer have to go to the United
            States to support themselves. Let's keep Canadian artists and
            musicians in Canada. Why should the government spend OUR tax
            dollars on artists working and living in the United States?

            Our support for Canadian culture is not just an assumed fact,
            the stats are there! For the first time ever, in 2001 Canadians
            spent more on cultural goods and services than alcohol, tobacco,
            and gambling combined ($21.3 billion)! It's obvious Canadians
            are serious about keeping their art and culture in Canada!
