Adjust (v): The act of ensuring that one’s outfit is perfect (including making sure one is properly tucked) from head to toe. Example usage: “sissy miranda is just adjusting herself in her dressing room”. Can also refer to adjustment in attitude from the donning of sissy clothing as the sissy discards all feelings of masculinity.

Collar (n): The physical item that denotes a collared sissy. Depending on the attire of the sissy, the actual collar may vary, but should be recognizable to other people as such. Typical collars include: velvet choker, leather dog collar, posture collar or even a satin ribbon. The collar, however it manifests itself, should facilitate the attachment of a lead. As an addition, the collar can indicate who the sissy is property of; e.g. a leather collar might include a small circular dog tag reading, “sissy priscilla is property of Mistress Angelica”; a satin ribbon could be embroidered with the same information.

Collared (adj): A collared sissy is the possession of her Mistress or Master. Other sissies cannot interact with collared sissies without the permission of the owner. The collared sissy should indicate her status by the wearing of a suitable collar and only respond to those that her Superior has allowed her to speak with.

Curtsey (v, n): A sissy demonstrates her submissive status by performing a curtsey. It is an acknowledgement and may be used as her Superior dictates (such as when entering or exiting a room, or at the end of each command her Superior utters). To perform a curtsey, the sissy takes the hem at either side of her skirt between thumb and forefinger (remembering to point her other fingers outward in a delicate manner), bows her head, places one foot in front of the other and bends her legs to perform a dipping bow before returning to upright in one, graceful motion.

Frilly (adj): being or possessing overly girlish and sissy characteristics almost to the extent of seeming vacant or empty-headed. A frilly sissy may be prone to forgetting aspects of her service or attire. Usually this isn't intentional and can often be attributed to the euphoria of prancing around in pretty clothes and/or serving a Mistress. E.g. "Oh, Samantha, you're such a frilly little miss, your stocking seams are not straight!"

Fuss (v): The act of taking longer than necessary over the process of dressing or becoming a sissy. Most (if not all) sissies exhibit this trait and assuming the sissy's attire is appropriate and her make-up well applied, her Superior will often leave her unpunished.

Gush (v): when overwhelmed in the company of a beautiful superior, a sissy often can’t keep her little mouth shut and utters a stream of (well intended) complements. In forgetting her position and ‘gushing’ without being given permission, the sissy risks punishment. Some superiors find the trait endearing, however.

Maid (n) (also French Maid): A most appropriate status for a sissy is that of maid. Dressing a sissy in the uniform of a french maid serves to reinforce her status as a submissive and allows the Superior to use the sissy in the performance of chores and tasks for their benefit. The scope of tasks that a maid might be requested to perform is endless, from cleaning and maintaining the Superior's abode, to personal services for the Superior or others at the Superior's command.

Mince (v): the act of walking like a sissy. To be executed in dainty high-heels with one hand on the waist and the other held limply out to one side. Small steps with one foot in front of the other should be accompanied with a pronounced wiggle of the posterior. A sissy needs to practice her mince as often as possible. Best accomplished with petticoat and sissy-pants to accentuate the sissy’s bottom.

Priss (n): and admonishment to be proffered by another sissy when the subject refuses to comply to a request of a girlish nature. Usually when the subject gets embarrassed about her predicament and concerned that people will recognize her for the pantywaist she is. Example usage: “Don’t be such a priss, Beatrice, you should be happy that your Mistress wants you to go to the mall in your pink dress!”

Service (v): The act of pleasuring a Superior. The sissy should become trained and skilled in the art of satisfying her Superior. Given her insignificant status, the sissy should never consider reciprocity (although a kindly Superior might allow a sissy to please herself if she has performed adequate service). The ritual of a sissy servicing her Superior might take a number of forms; the Superior might insist that the sissy wear a particular uniform or adopt a specific position when servicing her Superior – restraining or binding a sissy during service allows her to focus on the job of pleasuring her Superior. Any sissy should view the request to service a Superior (even a Superior who is not her owner) as an honor.

Sissy-pants (n): Panties that should be worn as part of any sissy outfit, sissy-pants are identified by rows of lace across the front and rear of a close fitting pair of panties. The ruffled lace rows can be of matching or contrasting color dependent on the outfit or by direction of her Superior.

Teeter (v) (also Totter): Until the sissy has developed the ability to mince properly, her attempts to maneuver in her pretty little high heels might appear somewhat less graceful than required. Such a sissy is said to be teetering, tottering, or perhaps both. Again, some see this as an amusing trait in the sissy-in-training, although others might deem it worthy of admonishment.
