Historical and Geographical Background
Miami was founded in 1513 by Ponce de Leon. It is in the middle of the Florida Everglades and Biscayne Bay. The earliest documented indians who lived in Miami were 12,000 years back. Most of them settled in the Miami River. The indians from here were the seminoles
Miami like I said was found in 1513. It was found by a spanish conquistador called Ponce de Leon. The settlers were spanish people. The first european settlers came in 1800s. People came from the Bahamas to search for treasures.
1866 Miami was founded by the spanish. In 1910 the population of Miami was and soared to 5,500. In 1926 Miamis population stays the same for a long time and miami suffers its first big hurricane. In 1950 the population of Miami soars to 172,000 people. In 1960s Miami beat New Orleans with the amount of Latin Americans.
Miami is a very visited place for people around the world. I think the place people think the most about Florida is Miami and Disney but mostly Miami. Miami is a very relaxing place with beaches and resorts. It is a very nice place and people from Argentina and countries come alot. It is the city of beaches.
Miami compared to any other city is the best. It is 4 hours from Disney and many other cool places. The places and restaurants are very nice. It is a very nice enviroment. The people are also very nice not like in other places you visit.
Some of the surroundings of Miami are great. One of them is South Beach. In South Beach there are a lot of dancing clubs, bars and beaches. People visit that place a lot. Coconut Grove is also a beautiful place where you can see beautiful houses.
