My name is Laura and I started animal rescue back in middle school. I am now 18
and attend Longview Community College. I love helping animals (which
have mainly been dogs) and just rescued my first horse! My mom and I
hope to start doing a lot more with horses while still doing some dog
fostering on the side.
I would love to start training service dogs. My goal is to rescue bully breeds from death row and give them a chance. I'll be able to help the dog and the person who adopts him or her. Plus people will finally be forced to co-exist with bully breeds and see that they can be very sweet and loving dogs. Unfortunately most people are closed minded and only believe what the media tells them about "pit bulls." I'm currently only volunteering with Furry Kids Refuge and Spay and Neuter Kansas City when ever I can. I'm on crutches for a while so I'm a little limited.
