Chapter 6

Christina
So I was thinking that Pat knows about my failed marriage and maybe there’s a second chance for us in the future. But I’m crazy for thinking that? I sat at the table of the kitchenette and Pat was shaving in the mirror.

“Morning,” I said to him.

“Morning,” he said as he smiled at me.

His smile was beautiful and so were his eyes. I sipped my coffee and just watched as he shaved.

“This is how I keep my twelve year old look,” he said.

“So what are we doing today?” I asked.

“Swimming in the hotel pool,” he said.

“Pat I haven’t been to the gym in like two weeks. I can’t put on a bathing suit,” I said.

“Wait a second. Did you just say gym?” he asked me.

“Yeah, why?” I asked.

“The Chris I used to know hated exercise,” he said.

“I still hate it, but my metabolism isn’t the same anymore. Everything I eat stays with me,” I explained.

I really had to work extra hard once I started modeling.

“You look beautiful,” he said to me not taking his eyes off of me. It made the air around me thick and hard to breathe.

“I’m almost thirty,” I said.

“And you don’t look a day over twenty-three,” he said.

“You’re sweet. You must want something,” I said.

“I am dying to know if those are real,” he said staring at my breasts. It made me feel desired again, something I haven’t felt in a long time.

Pat
Chris was always so beautiful when she first wakes up. I always loved her face with no make-up and hair slightly tangled. I especially loved when she let her eyebrows grow in a bit. It’s very sexy on her. But the sexiest thing about her is when she wears her glasses.

“Pat,” she said.

I didn’t feel bad about wanting to know, I’m a man we notice these things.

“I’m sorry. I’m a man. What do you want from me?” I said.

She smiled at me and I was totally losing track of myself until I heard the door on the bus. It was Isaac.

Isaac
The scene on the bus really made me want to puke. Pat and Christina were giving each other goo goo eyes. I wasn’t going to let their past ruin my chances with her. She is breathtaking and I can’t breathe right when she’s in the room.

“Good morning,” I said.

“Hey Isaac what’s up?” Pat asked.

“I’m here for Christina actually,” I said.

Christina turned to look at me and her long dark hair swung over her shoulder, her dark eyes pouring into me.

“Yes,” she said as professional as ever.

“Do me a favor, loosen up. You’re too uptight and professional with us,” I said.

“This is my job,” she said.

She doesn’t understand why we don’t care about this stuff.

“I think we should go and get a coffee and just kick back you know,” I said.

I had to put it out there. She in insatiable and I have to have her.

“I have plans with Pat today actually,” she said.

I knew it. I fucking knew that pretty boy would somehow interfere with my plans. That son of a bitch said he couldn’t help me because he didn’t know her anymore, it’s because he wants to fuck her. He’s already had her and now I want my piece of the pie. He doesn’t understand that I’m in love with her. For him it can’t be about anything more than sex, after twelve years him having any feelings is hard for me to believe. And if he still does then he’s pathetic.

“Well maybe later on we can grab a bite or something,” I said.

I offered her my best smile.

“Isaac I don’t think we should get involved. I work for you,” she said.

Goddammit why doesn’t she understand. I need to make her understand.

“Christina that’s not important to us. We’d rather develop personal relationships with you,” I said.

“Isaac I’m still married. It really wouldn’t be right,” she said.

What can I say to that? How do you compete with one’s husband? I have no argument.

Zac
“I want to know what the hell this means and what the hell is going on with you?” Eva yelled as she threw a white envelope at me.

“What’s this?” I said as I opened it and pulled out a piece of paper with the words five days on it.

I could feel myself turning white.

“Where did you get this?” I asked trying to hide the nervousness in my voice.

“Your friends dropped it off yesterday when you were sleeping,” Eva said.

Those bastards. They talked to my girl; they don’t even deserve to look at her. I have to be ready at all times, day or night.

“Who were those guys with the turtlenecks?” Eva demanded.

She was becoming awfully demanding for someone who didn’t want a serious thing with me.

“Oh those are some guys from a frat house we played at when we started the college tour,” I lied impressed at how quickly I could come up with a lie like that.

“Frat guys are you kidding me? And let me guess the envelope has something to do with you pledging for them?” she asked.

“Actually, it’s a joke really. I made a bet with them that I could go without sex for five days. But if I lose I have to buy them a keg of beer,” I said.

I knew she didn’t buy it, from the look on her face, but I had to try.

Jem
I sat down and looked at Chris, not wanting to here what she had to say.

“Is he mistreating you?” she asked me. I couldn’t meet her eyes.

“No,” I said not looking up.

“Jem I’m serious. If he hurts you, just tell me and I’ll tell Pat, and he’ll take care of it,” she said.

“No. Stay out of it and tell Pat to stay out of it too,” I said.

I can’t stand everyone being in my business like this. It’s infuriating me almost as much as Chardy.

“Jem, I’m serious. You can’t let him talk to you that way,” Chris said.

“Do me a favor, mind your business please,” I said.

“So what’s going on with you and Pat on that bus?” I asked in a desperate attempt to change the subject.

“W-what?” she asked.

She was taken aback. “How’s it going? I’m sure its uncomfortable seeing Pat every morning and every night in his underwear,” Jem said.

“I actually haven’t seen him in his underwear at all. Thank God,” she said.

I watched Chris turn red. She was always uncomfortable talking about those things in front of people.

“You want him,” I said.

I was proud of the fact that I kept the conversation off of Taylor. I knew mentioning Pat would get her panties in a twist.

“I do not,” she said defensively. “Why not? Back in the day when you dated him he looked like a mushroom, but damm he got hot,” I stated.

She was crazy if she didn’t want him.

“Yes he is hot, but that doesn’t mean anything,”

“Chris if he wasn’t your man I’d fuck him,”

“Jem he is not my man,” she said.

“He’s your man trust me. You totally have him. If you told him that you wanted to screw, he’d do it, if you told him you wanted to be together he’d do it, if you told him you wanted to be friends with benefits he’d do it,” I said.

I hated giving love advice to Chris.

“You’re just being ridiculous. There is nothing going on with Pat and I,”

“I didn’t say there was anything going on, all I’m saying is that he wants there to be. Can’t you see the way he looks at you,”

“No, and I’m done talking about this anyway. I have to go and meet Pat,” she said.

“Go ahead and meet your lover boy,” I muttered after she left. I had to get things ready, Taylor will need me.

Pat
This is nice. The sun feels so good on my chest. I’m hoping for a tan this time. Last time I got really badly burned I had sun poisoning, got blisters on my back, and had to sleep in bubble wrap and I was completely dehydrated from the sun. To make a long story short, I had diarrhea and I couldn’t unwrap myself in time and I shit on myself. My timer went off and I flipped over to tan my back. This is the life. I got my fluffy pillow, my margarita, and my special towel that I need to lay on because I don’t like the way the lawn chair feels against my skin. I spread out my arms and legs so that I could tan evenly. I was really getting comfy when I heard her voice.

“Pat what are you doing?” I could hear her say.

“I was just doing push-ups, see,” I said suddenly lifting myself with one arm and pushing myself up and down on it.

Then, I turned and I saw the sexiest pair of legs I’ve ever seen. I followed them up over her thighs and to her belly button. Her bathing suit emphasizes everything positive about her figure and more. My eyes continued up her body as I continued to do my one-handed push-ups and then it happened. I lost my grip and my face smashed into the lawn chair.

“Oh my God Pat. Are you ok?” she asked.

“Yeah, I’m fine,” I said.

I flipped over and stood to my feet. She stared at me for a moment.

“That’s an interesting suit,”

She better not be dissing my pink hibiscus flowers. This bathing suit is hot. “Are you wearing sun block?’ she asked me.

“Of course. I’m Irish,” I said.

“I didn’t get to mine yet. You want to rub some on my back,” she said handing me the bottle and sitting on the lounge chair.

“Uhhh sure,” I said.

I took a deep breath and moved her long shiny hair over her shoulder. I can get through this I told myself. I squirted some into my hands and began rubbing it into the center of her back and her onto her shoulders.

“Mmm,” she moaned as she leaned back.

“You always had the nicest hands,” she said.

If I’m not mistaken she is flirting with me.

“I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for a dip,” I said.

This is going to be hot. I got up on the diving board and I did a back flip into the pool. I wonder if she looked at my hot chest. When I surfaced I could see her coming towards me.

“Very Impressive,” she said.

I knew she would like that. There was something different about the way she’s looking at me. It’s really quite intriguing.

Christina
“So Pat tell me do you still swim?” I asked him. It was hard for me to concentrate.

“Yeah, of course,” he said.

The wet hair that was dripping in his face was driving me insane. And there was this one droplet on his lip that was begging me to taste it. The sun beamed down on his broad chest and shoulders. There were little glistening droplets of water trickling down his chest. Pat always had the perfect size nipples.

“Christina,” Pat said.

“Christina,” he repeated.

“Uhhh, Uhhh,” I said.

“You okay. You were biting down on your bottom lip,” he said.

“I’m fine. I was just zoning out for a minute. So why don’t you show me some of those swim moves,” I said.

I was so embarrassed. I can’t believe I was biting my lip. He doesn’t look that good.

“Yeah sure,” he said as he began his laps.

I don’t know what happened to him, but he kind of looks like a penguin. His arms were flapping and he was out of breath. What the hell is he doing? He looks like he’s going to have a heart attack. I didn’t have the heart to tell him.

“Wow Pat. That was great,” I said.

I tried to hold in my laughter.

“That was nothing,” Pat said.

“So you swim a lot?” I asked.

“Yeah all the time. How else do you think I keep up with this trim body?” he said.

Is he serious? Trim body? He is chunky.

“Yeah you look good,” I said.

“You’re not too bad yourself,” he said.

“You want to race?”
