They were here for their latest stop on the ‘03 Acoustic Tour, “Yeah Dad, what’s up?” Isaac yelled from the back of the bus.
“Zac and Taylor need your help with one of the amps. The sounds not coming out right,” he told him.
“Why do they need me to look at it? I mean they are both not idiots, they know how to work those things,” Isaac stated kind of annoyed that the one time he has like five minutes alone that his brothers can’t even give him that.
“Well, they can’t seem to fix it and they think you’re the only that can be trusted with those things, so please just come in and see if you can fix it so we can just get all the equipment together,” Walker pleaded not wanting to fight at all.
Isaac sighed loudly and very annoyed but agreed anyway, “Yeah, just tell them to give me few minutes.”
“OK, thanks Ike,” he said.
“No problem,” Isaac responding now feeling slightly bad for taking out his agitation on his father.
There was silence again and Isaac cursed under his breath for having to move from his lap top. It’s not as if he was doing anything of any importance it was just the point that they both knew how to fix any equipment that had any problems.
He walked out of the bus and was expecting to find a large group of girls just hanging out and waiting to catch a glimpse of a Hanson but must to his surprise there was only a handful of people waiting.
“Oh my god! It’s Isaac,” he heard a small framed girl said from behind the barricade.
He turned to smile at her and noticed the model like girl standing next to him. She was breath taking and he couldn’t help but stare at her as he walked. He knew how rude it was to stare but he couldn’t help himself. Not only because of her beauty, but because he could swear he knew her from some where. Her face was strangely familiar. “Hi girls,” he said waving in there direction.
He felt like a retard almost immediately but it was the only thing he knew to do. He had to let that girl know he had seen her. The small girl seemed like she had almost peed herself, however, the other girl almost seemed to be laughing. Isaac continues walking to the building sneaking one last look and praying that she would be outside later.
“Yeah, it was one of the best we ever had, but New York shows are always some of the best,” he was trying to be nice and please Taylor, who always liked to have these little discussions after shows but he just couldn’t stop thinking about that girl.
He found himself searching for her face in the crowd during the show something he rarely does, but he just couldn’t control himself. “Come on Zac,” Taylor called.
“He’s in the bathroom,” Joley said as she walked over, “I told him to go here before he gets on that bus. I’m not dealing with the smell!”
Isaac turned his nose up and the thought, “Here he comes,” he said really dying to get outside to see if that girl was going to be there.
“Sorry guys, my stomachs just a little soar,” Joley rolled her eyes and took his hand.
“Whatever Zac,” Joley laughed, “Where’s Genna Taylor?” She asked curiously.
“She wasn’t feeling well and she has been having some pains so I sent her back to the hotel before the show. I’m nervous about her being around the loud music and stuff when she is seven months pregnant. She already looks like she is ready to pop,” Taylor smiled seemingly beaming whenever he even mentioned the reality of becoming a father.
Isaac didn’t want to be rude but he really could careless about any of this nonsense conversation. He wanted to get outside and find this girl, although he didn’t really know what he was gonna do if he found her.
He was the first one out the door and down the side steps. The crowd was large but it had obviously diminished by a large amount considering the duration of time that had lapsed between the end of the show and now. He searched in and out of the crowd for any sign of that girl that he couldn’t stop thinking about. Finally, after moments of searching and not even hearing the other hundred or so girls in the crowd, he spotted her.
He stared, completely infatuated with the beauty and still not sure how he she looked so familiar. He could have sworn he knew her from somewhere, “Hey, who you staring at?” Taylor said coming up and put a hand on Isaac shoulder.
“That girl over there,” he told him pointing her out.
“Umm...” Taylor responded making Isaac look at him quickly, “Don’t you know who that is!?”
“No, but should I?”
“Well, I would think you should. You have spent one to many lonely nights with her helping you experience a natural high,” Taylor said trying to make Isaac jacking off seem not as dirty.
“Huh? She’s a porn star?” he asked.
“No,” he paused and looked around, “That the double penetration girl. The one that uses two dildos and you can tell the video was home made. Your favorite video,” Isaac almost fell over.
He took another long hard look at her and realized that exactly who she was. And that knowledge right there was enough to make him make sure that he was gonna talk to her. She turned him on in that video and she turned him on here. He wanted to know her, he had to know her.
“Oh it’s no problem. Tell her the show sucked so she doesn’t feel to bad,” he joked and the girl laughed and walked over towards Taylor.
Isaac moved down the line a little more and held his hand out waiting to feel a CD or a ticket or something for him to sign slip into his hand but to much of his surprise the only thing that was in front of him was her.
“Ohh, hi,” he said clearing his throat, blatantly sound like a moron,”Do you want me to sign something?” he asked.
“No it’s cool. I don’t have anything for you to sign, besides I think autographs are kind of pointless. All they are is a signature that you have repeated over and over on thousands of things,” she said making him even more nervous.
Here was this beautiful girl in front of him, which was enough to make his palms sweat, but she was not just any hot girl. She was the girl from the dirty video that he had downloaded about a year ago. The girl that he must have watch five times a week since he downloaded it and he could barely breath he was so nervous. “Oh,” he said, “Well, I’m Isaac then,” he said offering his hand.
She laughed, “I know who you are. I’m Rachel though,” she told him.
He laughed nervously, “So did you enjoy the show?”
“Yeah, it was very very good. I was impressed.”
“Oh, are you a fan?” once he said it he immediately felt like an idiot.
How do you ask someone that, it’s rude, “I consider myself a fan, but I am not one of your eight year stalkers,” she joked.
He laughed and it probably sounded like he was over laughing, “That’s funny. I never heard that one before,” he told her.
She laughed to herself. She never thought that if she met a Hanson, particularly Isaac, that she would be dealing with dealing with them being nervous, “You seem nervous is everything cool?”
“Uhh, yeah.... actually, it’s like this. I saw you this afternoon with your friend and you really blew me away I mean your beautiful and something about you intrigues me. I have been searching for you all night and I mean I would really like to get to know you,” when he finished she stared at him in disbelief and really thought he might just puke right there.
She was completely shocked. She just got hit on by Isaac Hanson, the Isaac Hanson, “Umm...I... are you serious?” she asked wondering if this was some kind of sick joke.
He looked at her for a moment, “Of course I’m serious, why wouldn’t I be?”
She had thought about this happening to her a thousand times before when she would get lost in her daydreams, fantasies, but well she was not expecting to feel scared. Actually, she felt petrified. “I’m flattered, really I am, but I just can’t. I’m sorry!” she said clutching her purse and taking off down the dark city street.
She had been hurt so much she was so scared of ever going there again. Isaac was completely shocked himself at her reaction. I mean he had been turned down before but this wasn’t getting shot down. This was someone running away from fear. If this was anyone else he might have just let them go, but he couldn’t do that. As she stormed he just couldn’t stop himself from chasing after her, “Rachel!” he called.
She just kept going, but he wasn’t gonna stop, “Rachel, please wait, please!” he finally caught up with her.
He touched her shoulder and she spun around, “Please just leave me alone,” she said.
“No please don’t do this. Here please take my number,” he said writing his number down on a piece of paper.
“No, I can’t I’m sorry. I just can’t.”
“Please, Rachel, this isn’t a marriage proposal. Just take the number at least and if you don’t call you don’t call. Even if we just become friends, just friends, please just take the number,” she looked down at the piece of paper and took it from his hand.
“Ok,” was all she could say.
“I hope to hear from you Rachel,” he said and she nodded smiling warmly to him.
She turned and walked away again wondering if she would ever have the nerve to call.
