"Oh my god, I like love you guys! You are my all time favorite," the young girl responded obviously blown away be the fact that her teen idol was standing in front of her in the flesh.
Taylor just smiled warmly he was used to this by now. He signed the young girls CD and took a picture for her. They chat for a few moments about the show. Nothing new, nothing that hadn’t done a million times before.
The girl thanked him graciously and seemed to be making her way over toward Isaac. Taylor liked that about the girl. It least it wasn’t all about him to some of their fans. He was alone for a few moments. No one was talking to him.
A few people seemed to be talking to Zac and Isaac but for once there was no one trying to talk to him. It felt weird, but Taylor walked over to the small table and grabbed a bottle of water. “Umm excuse me?” a young sweet voice said behind him.
Taylor turned around and almost feel over at the sight of the girl behind him. She was one of the most beautiful things he ever saw, “I hate to bother you, Taylor, but I would mean a lot to me if I could have your autograph,” she told him turning three shades of red.
“Uhh, yeah, yeah of course. You’re not bothering me at all,” he said after taking another gulp from the bottle of water.
He reached his hand out to take her CD, but he couldn’t tear his own eyes away from her. Her eyes fell lock with his for a moment and she quickly tore them away blushing severely once more. “So, uhh, who should I make this out to?” Taylor asked her not really caring about the autograph, but wanting to know her name.
“Oh yeah, duh, it’s Jenna with a G.” she told him pushing the dark pin straight hair behind her ear.
Taylor quickly signed the CD and handed it back to her, “Here you go,” he said smiling.
She felt her heart skip beats. Taylor Hanson just smiled at her, “Thank you so much. It was a pleasure meeting you,” she told him and began to walk away.
Taylor was shocked and for a moment he didn’t move. She wasn’t gonna try to talk to him or anything. The one time he wanted to know every last detail about this... fan and she just walks away, “Wait!... Genna, wait,” he said after her running in the direction she was walking.
She spun around and stopped dead in the spot she was standing. She wanted to say something, but what could she say Taylor, like the Taylor Hanson that she has loved since the moment she heard the first four notes of Mmmbop, had just called after her. “That’s it?” he asked her smiling again.
His blue eyes twinkling as if they had their own light inside them. She couldn’t break her gaze from his eyes, “What’s it?” she heard herself respond, but not knowing why or how she spoke.
“You just wanted an autograph and a quick hi and bye? You don’t want to talk to me?” he asked her, completely throwing not only her, but himself of guard at his comments.
“I uhh, of course I want to talk to you, but I didn’t want to bother you,” this must be some kind of dream was all she could keep thinking.
“Well, you weren’t bothering,” he laughed, “And I would really like to talk, that is if you have time?” he said suddenly feeling shy.
She stared at him and she thought her legs might give out from underneath her, “I have all the time in the world,” she told him, not thinking about how stupid she sounded till it came out of her mouth.
Taylor was listening intently memorizing every word that came out of her mouth. “I think you’re the first person I have ever met that doesn’t think Florida is paradise,” he joked.
“Yeah, it’s strange. I mean it’s not like I live in some small town with like 15 people. I live in Orlando. This is the happiest place on Earth, dammit!” she joked giggling when she noticed Taylor laughing at her.
“Well, what do you want?” he asked her. It was a simple question, but to him he felt nervous like he was getting inside her soul.
She pulled the water bottle away from her mouth and stayed quiet for a moment, “Well, I want to see the world, ya know? I want to experience other cultures. I want to wake up in the morning and look out my window and for once see snow on the ground. I want to mean something to someone,” she said the last part in a quiet whisper.
“I’m sure you mean a lot to a lot of people,” Taylor answered back.
She smiled and quietly dropped the subject not wanting to delve into her personal problems with someone she has barely known for an hour. She looked at her watch and closed her eyes, “I hate to do this, but I need to be home by twelve thirty and well it’s twelve so I need to go,” god how she didn’t want this to ever end.
“Oh, man, I didn’t realize it was that late,” he said getting up taking the empty bottle from her.
“It was really a pleasure Taylor, you really are wonderful. Hopefully I will see you around sometime,” she said feeling herself want to cry.
“Actually Genna,” he said feeling his face grow hot, “I was wondering if maybe I could give you my number and I don’t know maybe get yours? I would really, really like to get to know you,” there were no words to describe what she felt.
She froze for a moment or so and then quickly dove into her purse pulling out a piece of paper, “That would be awesome I would really, really like that too,” she said back her mouth growing dry.
He smiled and took the pen and paper from her to write down his number and taking down hers as well, “Are you, um, going to the show tomorrow?” he asked.
“Actually, no. I couldn’t get tickets to both unfortunately.”
“Well, I’ll call you tomorrow with better directions, but come here tomorrow for the show and I’ll make sure you get in, even if you have to watch the show from backstage,” he said smiling handing her back her pen.
She really need to pinch herself, but she smiled and nodded, “Ok, I will be here,” she told him wanting to scream.
“OK, I will waiting for you. I’ll talk to you tomorrow,” she smiled and walked out the door almost falling over when he was finally out of sight.
