The Alpha and Omega of the Wrestling World!

"An Intro of Epic Proportions"

Things haven't changed a whole lot since we last saw good 'ol "Primetime" he is still an ego maniac, still wants nothing more than to prove he is the best, and still is the greatest ever. But when starting yet again with a new organization one has to wonder were do you start? Well the answer is at the beginning.

Paul Roberts was a floundering movie star trying to catch a break. Along with his best friend Chad “The Truth” Monie by his side, Roberts and Monie flew out to Hollywood to audition for different parts in movies but with Paul’s arrogant attitude and unwillingness to accept minor roles Roberts found himself floundering in a sea of mediocrity. Roberts often upset casting directors when asking them to “Take a look at greatness”. No one wanted to hire an unknown, unproven actor for staring roles.

But Paul finally got his big break with a made for TV primetime movie, this started a string of primetime movies and the audience loved him. This triggered TV Guide to do a cover focusing on Roberts proclaiming him TV’s favorite primetime leading man, it wasn’t long before he became known as “Primetime” Paul Roberts.

Soon after a wrestling company known as the WCF came calling wanting to sign Roberts to an exclusive contract with the company, knowing that having Roberts on the program could instantly draw a crowd. Roberts agreed and began to focus on the only thing that mattered to him, being the biggest star in the company and holding the World Heavyweight Championship. Unfortunately for Roberts the title didn’t come so quickly, Roberts first won the National title at the first Pay-Per-View defeating Master C. “Primetime” quickly gained notoriety as a legitimate world title contender and gained a world title shot at the very next Pay-Per-View.

It was the National Champion vs the World Champion, the battle of the titans, the clash of the champions. Roberts came out on top with both belts becoming the companies first and only “Undisputed Champion”; being the only man to win and hold the only two active titles in the company at the time. Roberts would go on to face great challengers but he never lost the title as the WCF prepared to cease operations. The WCF closed its doors, Roberts having never lost the title belt, took the gold with him to a new federation, DSW.

Roberts then created the group WCF: Revolution; a group of WCF alumni focused on destroying the DSW and starting the fire of the WCF once again. Roberts even successfully defended the WCF title in a DSW ring the night WCF: Revolution was formed. The battle between the DSW and the WCF waged on until the “Scars and Stripes” Pay-Per-View, which saw WCF: Revolution defeat team DSW in an elimination eight man tag team match, not one member of the WCF: Revolution was eliminated. The DSW never had another show.

Soon after the WCF re-opened but Roberts was forced to surrender the title due to injury. Not long after Roberts lobbied to become the companies VP of operations and began running the company in the owners absence. After five months the owner returned and resumed his duties and “Primetime” resigned as VP; to position himself to return to the ring. Sadly the WCF closed once again the night after Roberts announce he was to return at the next Pay-Per-View.

Finally realizing that the place he had called his home for so long had closed its doors for the final time, Roberts contemplated retirement from wrestling all together; even entertaining the idea of a return to acting. But Roberts could never get rid of the itch, the itch for competition, the itch to be the best, the itch to wear gold again, the itch to be World Champion.

Roberts began his search for a new home, and came across the UWF; The Universal Wrestling Federation. He loved the thought of being Universal Champion, the idea of continuing were he left off in the WCF, once again being the “King of Kings”. So “Primetime” Paul Roberts made a few phone calls and began a new journey in the Universal Wrestling Federation.

The journey ended at UWF Redemption “Primetime” won the UWF Universal Championship in just four matches, but just one month after the fed opened the fed closed for nor apparent reason. Paul was forced to look for something new and he landed in ASW, but this time he had a new plan of how he was going to do things. He was going to spend more time taking on younger hungrier talent rather than just going strait for the World title that he would have eventually anyway. Expect to see Roberts hold many titles in the ASW along with eventually ending up the ASW World Heavyweight Champion. Sadly he was never given that opportunity, ASW didn't last more than a few months after Roberts ended up there. Just after being crowned the new ASW X Champion in the fist ever Ultimate X match in ASW Roberts called it quits when ASW management crapped all over the roster, and in a mass exodus, 90% of the roster left, Roberts included, leaving ASW with only a handful of wrestlers left.

So to this day the ASW X Championship that Roberts had made sits in his trophy cabinet with the rest of his championship glory, and the original was sent back. After those events Roberts was left in limbo wondering were to go and what to do. Days, weeks, and eventually months went past with die hard wrestling fans not even getting a glimpse of the greatest ever. But that time is now over, we are just moments away from Roberts signing yet another contract with yet another company.

ICWF, The Intercontinental Championship Wrestling Federation. That is what reads on the podium on center stage. The room is filled with reporters, agents, and many are just fans eager to see "Primetime's" return to the ring.

A man walks in from off stage, and it is the man we have come to recognize as Chad Monie, the man Paul calls "The Truth". Paul's best friend since child hood, and the manager of his career. Wearing a tan business suit and holding a clip board he stands up to the podium and begins to speak.

Chad: Ladies and Gentlemen, I want to thank all of you for coming out for what is going to be a momentous occasion. What I have right here is the contract to ICWF, and in a few moments the one and only "Primetime" Paul Roberts will put pen to paper. Paul has had a very interesting and championship ridden career and I am sure his time with the ICWF will be no different. I don't want to stand here and bore you to death so without further adieu, ladies and gentlemen...."Primetime" Paul Roberts.

"You Know my Name" by Chris Cornell hits the PA and the room erupts with conversation, the music plays for a bit, and out emerges "Primetime" a man who has been out of the spot light for almost a year. A man who has not been seen on camera in nearly 12 months. A man...who has seen his opportunity to once again, be the best.

Standing behind the podium, confidently, Roberts looks a poised as ever, his eyes are hidden behind dark shades but the smirk on his face tells the whole story.

Primetime:Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for coming out, however I don't think this is going to be everything you expected it to be. I have been out of the game for a long time, and well lets just say I don't know if I have it in me to rule yet another Federation.

Roberts pauses for a moment, and then bursts out with laughter.

Primetime: Oh that's a good one! Whooo hooo.... okay seriously here is the problem, ICWF is a failing organization, judging from there championship role call no one in that organization is even worth there weight in crap let alone gold like me. I would like to let everyone know in that place that as soon as I place my name on the dotted line your time with gold is numbered. Championship belts are for Champions, and one thing everyone there needs to realize and the sooner the better, is that NONE of you are real champions you are figure heads put in place by the crappy ICWF management to hold championships until better quality comes in down the road. Well let me be the first to tell you that that time has come, your time as champion is over, and it is the end of the road. Its nothing personal, its just good business. It is time for the stronger beings to survive and for the rest of of you losers to go back to opening the show. What am I saying, it is time for the rest of you to go back to washing cars for a living. Playtime is over, and after I make short work of BoBo the clown, the prime example of competition in ICWF, I start my climb to the top. So boys enjoy the time you have left, because it is time that everyone here gets to ....Take a look!

The crowd of fans jump in.

Crowd: AT GREATNESS!

Roberts smiles as he looks into the crowd, as if to say the people are starting to wise up. He leans down into the mic one last time.

Primetime: ... At Greatness...See you boys soon.

Roberts takes his pen and signs on the dotted line securing ICWF as the exclusive holder of "Primetime" Paul Roberts. "You Know my Name" once again hits the PA, and Roberts walks off stage, handing the contract to Chad as he leaves. Once off stage the camera fades to black.

What will be in store for the fans of the ICWF? What about BoBo this Sunday? One thing is for sure when "Primetime" Paul Roberts is involved he never disappoints and this time will be no different.

Everyone knows my name!
