Professional Experience

Research Assistant
West Virginia University Institute of Technology, WV.       (August 2005 –Present)
- Project: Designing and implementation algorithm for Autonomous Navigation of Multiple Unmanned Ground Vehicles.
      • Implemented the Optimal Path Planning algorithm on Pioneer 3-AT robots in known environment.
      • Set up an Ad-hoc network between the Pioneer 3 –AT robots and the base stations for communication relays.
      • Project included 2-D laser scanning of an indoor environment and setting up video surveillance.
      • The project required the implementation of software like MobileSim, MobilEyes, Mapper3 and SAV.
      • Future work includes testing algorithms that are programmed in Matlab. Pioneer 3-AT has Linux operating systems, so it is planned to develop a C++
function libraries from the Matlab script for writing codes compatible to the robot’s operating system.
      • Future work also includes planning and implementing the algorithms in 3-D environment for Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAVs).

Graduate Teaching Assistant
West Virginia University Institute of Technology, WV.       (January 2004 - May 2004 )
      • Worked as a lab assistant for undergraduate control systems lab.
      • Set up the laboratory plants and software for the lab.
      • Supervised and monitored the lab classes.
      • Graded the laboratory reports.

Tech Ambassador
West Virginia University Institute of Technology, WV.       (May 2002- December 2003)
      • Assisted official tasks like documentation, filing and Xeroxing for the admission department.
      • Guided WVU Tech’s visitors.

Summer Internship
Eagle Research Corporation. Hurricane, WV.                (May 2001 – August 2001)
      • Designed and analyzed the efficiency of high frequency and low frequency filters using Serenade simulator.
      • Monitored the manufacturing process of chips designed.
      • Developed monthly and weekly maintenance report for the maintenance section.

Summer Job
Polumbo Installation and Repair, Bridgeport, CT.           (May 2000 – August 2000)
      • Installed, replaced and repaired washing, vending, coin and game machines in different city locations.
      • Replaced damaged elecrtronic parts, fuse and circuit boards of the machines.
      • Job also required soldering, testing and cleaning printed circuit board.
