Next Scheduled Seminar: March 2006, Anaheim: Getting Past “Maybe” with the Hueys, Deweys and Louies at Work! Of general audience interest, but particularly for those who enjoy learning through a light-hearted approach, this 90-minute workshop focuses on how age differences in the workplace may affect communication styles. With the generational differences between Donald Duck and his nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie, as backdrop, this session will help participants better understand the nature of conflict in the workplace, especially as it relates to generational issues, and will help them to use their own skills and abilities to resolve those conflicts. The workshop will cover (1) generational differences in communication styles; (2) the source of generational conflicts, (3) team building among workers of different ages, and (4) avoiding unlawful age discrimination. The session uses demonstration/workshop style individual and group "practice" exercises and encourages participation and interaction among participants. In addition to the visual presentation, handouts and written materials will include a warm-up exercise, one model problem, and instructional materials. Thank you for visiting my page at Angelfire.
