The Ancient Stones-
Raidho- The user will be able to have insight into the future by closing their eyes and tapping into the power of their's mind eye. However, this look into the future may be misleading or at times even false, if interfered with by coming into close contact with another rune.
Kenaz- User will be able to spark small, non-burning fires that last for a short while. This rune may backfire and the user may temporarily lack the ability to think.
Gebo- This rune will allow its user to tap into a willing volunteer's mind to see their memories. Works the same with the recently deceased. Will not work if the user is troubled.
Wunjo- The ability to bring peace and bring a sudden halt to violence, very useful for breaking up fights and battles. If this rune backfires, the user will turn temporarily larn.
Eihwaz- This rune must be activated by smearing it with the user's blood. The user will then suddenly become unimaginably strong and grow twice their size. If activated near Hillam, the user will become immortal for a short period. Be careful, because this rune can also sap away the power of its user as well.
Perthro- This rune pertains to female fertility. While wearing it, the unborn pups will have a higher survival rate and others around may transfer energy into the belly of the mother. Will also grant the barren wolves and the Wulves(who can not reproduce in Valuk) the ability to become pregnant. This rune may leave those who already could have pups barren after the litter is born. If this happens, not even the rune will work on them now.
Algiz- The power to allow the user to shape shift into a great elk complete with antlers despite the user's gender. A useful disguise and powerful aid if stuck fighting a large unit. However, the rune may discharge and the user will be stuck as an elk until the portal between Earth and Valuk opens the next month.
Sowilo- If activated with blood, the user will glow with fire surrounding them, turning all who oppose into charcoal. However, they may walk away with loss of logic, or internal damage caused by the heat.
Laguz- The healing rune, grants the user healing powers to assist the sick and injured. The only being their healing powers can not affect is themselves. Be careful, for the rune may backfire and slowly drain its user of life energy, shortening their total life expectancy or making them sickly and weak.
Ingwaz- Another fertility rune, not as potent, but works for both genders. Raises the chance of successful births and birthrates, as well as a possibility for the barren and infertile. The user may begin to recede from pack life and became paranoid of its cadre; distancing itself. Becoming very quite until they may eventually leave the pack all together.
Dagaz- The ability to engulf Regae in light for a full day, activated by blood. If this rune is left unworn, it may activate itself without warning. This rune may discharge randomly, leaving the user partially or completely blind.
Othala- Installs the user with a sense of navigation and direction; they will know the land perfectly from every stone to tree limb. If the rune is taken away, the knowledge of the land instantly fades. Bad luck will follow its wearer.
Fehu- Gives good luck and the ability to mentally sense a rune’s location (not exact though).
Uruz- The rune that grants amazing speed, making it an easy practice to outrun the swiftest of elk. However, like the cat of legends, the cheetah, their bursts of outrageous speed only last for a short time. The user would be able to sprint for a hundred yards without a break, but nearing the lengths to three or four they need to rest. At most a wolf could sprint at this pace for three miles, but afterwards they would collapse, unconscious, for up to four hours before waking rested enough to even jog.
Thurisaz- Once this rune is worn, the user will automatically change shape into an anthropomorphic wolf. To change out of this shape, they must remove the rune. In this form they are faster, stronger, smarter, better climbers, and of course have thumbs (which can be very useful). What one must realize though is that a temper of a wolf is challenged with this rune, for if they are angered to much, the user will go on a wild rage, slaying even their dearest friends.
Ansuz- The user will acknowledge information about anything they come in contact with. If they wish to know how a deer was slain, all they must do is touch it and tap into the streams of history flowing throughout. However the user may begin to forgot dear memories they once knew if they abuse the rune. When this rune is removed the information is not forgotten.
Hagalaz- Grants ability to control the weather for a time. Storms last no longer then a few hours though. This rune holds great power and tends to over whelm the user, causing them into an uncontrolled rage, sending wrath upon anything near.
Nauthiz- This is activated when the user goes through immense stress. Their body grows numb and they are blinded as they go through a wild rage.
Isa- The user is able to put wolves/wulves through a temporary freeze that can last up to an entire day. The user also grows very cold, and will eventually dislike heat. Huffs of icey air may emerge from their breath
Jera- This powerful rune holds an incredible power of plant life. The user can grow plants in soils that where not fertile or even ice! They can also send nutrients to plants already alive, to help them grow(but they won't instantly pop out of the ground). The plants only last for a day or so, and drain a large amount of nutrients from the ground, sometimes killing any native vegetation already settled there. The wielder can grow anything they wish, from small daisies to tower oaks. This ability can be used as offense as well, vines or whatever else the wolf/wulve can think up, will strike an enemy.
Tiwaz- The user will boast with confidence and leadership. Even a lowly coward could lead a might pack through the toughest of times wearing this rune. But with leadership comes hunger for power, and that tends to end in war. A wolf/wulve will crave more and more power, declaring war upon enemies or even allies for even the most moronic of reasons.
Berkano- Male fertility is granted with this rune. A once barren male wears this he will become fertile, able to impregnate a female. This rune also allows a male to impregnate a female without mating with her, as long as he physically comes in contact with her. Once the rune is removed, the wolf/wulve may change… getting urges to force breed upon wolves or wulves… even males…
Ehwaz- The user becomes extremely mobile, able to cover great distances with swift ease. While they’re stamina grows, the holders trust will fade, and eventually they will believe that even their mate is a betrayer.
Mannaz- Puts an arua around the user. Beasts of any kind will be unusually fond of the wearer. A wolf/wulve could approach a bear or tiger without being harmed for instance. This rune proves great for hunting, for prey will come close enough to touch. The wearer may easily become manipulative towards others, sometimes putting loved ones in danger without realizing it. |
