Law
1. Meaningless hunting is not permitted. We are to kill only what we need, not for amusement.
2. Singular hunting is not allowed therefore all hunts must be by the entire pack or by assigned members by one of the Tuken or other high officer.
3. A carcass is to be shared equally.
4. Wolves who have the greatest impact upon a hunt are rewarded with the spoils of the kill(unless said by the Tuken).
5.Everyone must eat together as a pack in proper order.
6. If you are not approved by lead Tuken when your turn comes to eat, you must wait until you are allowed to approach. This may mean you have to feed with any Galn that may come by after everyone else is finished.
7. Stolen scraps are tolerated every so often, but to thieve food from a sick/injured wolf or a pup is a terrible crime and will be punished with a quick beating from the pack.
8. Follow our hierarchy and respect those in higher rank.
9. The Tuken’s word is law.
10. Submit to high ranked wolves when necessary.
11.Only the Tuken have full mating rights.
12. The Droga(s) may not have a mate or breed with another wolf.
13. If mates wish to have a litter they must be approved by the Tuken before the female is pregnant.
14. Any cubs born without permission will be killed, the parent(s) shall be driven off while the children are raised by a female appointed by the Tuken(or just the leaders themselves), or on rare occasions the parents will be granted to live in the Cadre but with a lowered rank while their pups may live with the pack.
15. If a she-wolf becomes pregnant from being force-bred she will be allowed to keep her children if the pack can support their lives.
16. Stealing another she-wolf’s child is punished by exile.
17. Force-breeding is snarled upon and will result in death or exile.
18. If injured ones are beyond recovery, and the only point of them for living is their own suffering, they are to have a quick death.
19. To slay another wolf without sensible reason will result in exile.
20. If you a proven guilty of killing a pup, you will be marked an exile.
21. If you are a Galn, and found within pack borders with an aggressive behavior, the first action the clan will take is to drive you away.
22. Galn wishing to join Frozen Tears are to locate any wolf on patrol and discuss their wish. If the wolf finds them not dangerous, they will be led into the brims of the territory, where one of the higher members shall be summoned(preferably one of the Tuken), and a trail will take place to see if the stranger is healthy, gentle, strong, and worth keeping in the pack.
Rituals
Twilight Cry- Practiced each time the stars appear over Himmal. As a whole pack, everyone howls and directs their songs to the starlight. It is a prayer to the mountain, to Valuk, that one day the wulves may come to rescue the cadre from the hell the earth has become.
Ceremony of Life-When a female gives birth the clan rejoices. The celebration takes place when the young are able to emerge from the den. During this time, the children are gathered together, so that each member may greet them in the order of hierarchy. Once complete the wolves throw their heads to the skies, and guides the pups with their first chorus among the pack.
Ceremony of SeasonsCelebrated when nature shows the signs of a new season among the world. Everyone gathers with an item that represents something they wish to achieve. They include of Hunts, Love, Pups, Health, Strength, and Wisdom. Each passion has a certain totem that traditionally represents it. However occasionally may differ from wolf to wolf. Once all the offerings are gathered, a chorus is sung and dancing is preformed as well. By practicing this we are coming together as one to give joy for change, and to look forth to what the new season may benefit for us.
Traditional Totems
Hunt- Antler(s) of elk.
Love- Feathers of a bird's wing or tail.
Pups- Tail of an animal, any animal.
Health- Bone, preferably a large one.
Strength- Fang of another predator or even a wolf.
Wisdom- Round Stone that must be smooth as possible.
Dance of the Dead The cadre gathers round the remains of a fallen comrade(s). The Serko or one of the Tuken will preferably take a bone from the corpse, though tuffs of fur and so on will work as well. Holding it high they let out a growl to awaken the soul of the dead, then the whole Clan bellows a low, rumbling howl. One by one the rest approach, bidding a last personal farewell to the departed. Everyone begins to howl a steady beat, then with song in motion the wolves begin to dance freely. It's believed this helps give the soul(s) assistance to find a pathway to Valuk.
Sanguine Stomp-Practiced before a battle. Those who will clash with the enemy in the front lines, whom are usually Paska, surround a stone that they each paint with a single paw dipped in blood. The others create an outer circle. They begin to sing a low pitched song in a steady beat. The chosen wolven begin to romp and perform a step, stomping at each others shadows, shifting directions every few beats. This practice is to assist the warriors with a scent for blood to drive their fangs forth and a rhythm for their dance-like motions during battle.
