Aphrodisia

In ancient Greece, 'sex' as we understand it today didn't exist. Instead, a vague distinction was drawn around all sexual experience and put under the heading 'aphrodisia.' What is more, 'sexuality' (the notion of heterosexuality, bisexuality, etc.) didn't exist. Attraction was to what or whoever was beautiful. All sexual attraction was aphrodisia. There was no 'orientation' or 'preference' about it.
