Terminologies
The Reduced Script: Aka "Parody Script" (parody version of the script for the related movie), or
a movie review in script format where the humor of the original movie is intended to be amplified to the greatest possible extent. Technically, it is a rewrite that utilizes the characters in the script to express the author's opinion on the movie. Originally named "abridged scripts", but renamed "reduced scripts" for copyright reasons.
Hard-Core (Abbr: HD): For die-hard movie fans. Scripts with this label are dedicated to revealing the holes and details of the actual dialogues. In ordinary English, it means "any script over a total word count of 4000".
MPAA Rating: Believe it or not, each script goes with the MPAA rating for its own original movie. It is worth noting ratings are given with respect to the extent of profanity.
In a Nutshell: Summary of my view on the movie, crafted in such a way that the author's opinion is as offensively blunt as God would allow.
History: Once Upon A Time At https://www.angelfire.com/planet/parodyscripts
The first parody script I wrote is a short script of LOTR: THE TWO TOWERS, which I had stored in my hard drive and never thought I would distribute, shortly after the release of the movie. The second script I wrote and actually intended to publish is STAR WARS: THE REVENGE OF THE SITH (hence the address), whose length reaches 8,000 [!!], but postponed since the finished script bore some disturbing similarities to other ROTS parodies I read later on the web. When I finally saw BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, I felt the overwhelming urge to ridicule it (not that I hated the movie, though) and wrote its essential script and multiple versions of its abridged/reduced script. After that, I revised the original ROTS script and launched this site during my first college summer break.
