Born in 1924, Idi Amin rose to became dictator of Uganda. He tortured and murdered thousands of people in Uganda, until he was overthrown by the invading Tanzanian army, supported by exiled Ugandan dissidents. Idi fled to Libya, then Iraq, and was finally given asylum in Saudi Arabia - where he lived on a monthly stipend of $1500 provided by the government. That doesn't say much for Saudi Arabia, but then again it is a country where teaching Christianity is banned, and even possession of the Christian Bible is against the law. Idi Amin died on 17th August 2003. That he lived for 79 years doesn't exactly inspire one with confidence that evil people eventually get their just desserts on earth. We can only hope that there is a hell to which Idi will be going, as he certainly created a hell on earth for tens of thousands.
