Here are some pictures of our first cruise which was for 10-days on the "Star Pacific". Unfortunately the ship bi-passed our first stop in Noumea so our first stop was at Lifou in the Loyalty Islands. It is a dependency of New Caledonia and located 190 klms east of New Caledonia with a population of about 10,000.
After full day visiting Lifou, an overnight trip took us to Port Vila, the capital of Vanuatu. This time the ship was next to the jetty so that we could walk directly on the wharf.
Snorkelling or swimming at Jinek Bay
As it was low tide, we were easily able to wade or snorkel in the warm water. Lots of coral and colourful fish could be seen.
