AMERICN HEART ASSOCIATION ONLINE SKILLS TEST REQUEST (ELEARING)
The American Heart Association Heartsaver® CPR & AED Online Part 1 Course and is designed to provide an alternative training delivery option for first-time or renewal training to non-healthcare professionals. It is presented in a self-paced online format, which students can access anytime. When the online portion (Part 1) is completed, it is followed by a hands-on skills practice session and skills test (parts 2 and 3) with an AHA Instructor, the participant will earn a Heartsaver® AED Course Completion Card. This course is not intended for healthcare providers.
The American Heart Association Heartsaver® First Aid Online Part 1 Course is a Web-based, self-directed program. This program teaches students critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Content includes how to help a victim with bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies.
Part 1 is the online portion of the course. When students finish the online portion, a certificate of completion will be available for them to print. The certificate is required to complete Parts 2 and 3 at an authorized American Heart Association Training Center.
Part 2 is the skills practice, where students practice on the manikins before being tested.
PLEASE NOTE: This course is a monitoring and testing class only. No instruction or presentation is conducted by the instructor.
Upon presentation of the online certificate and successful completion of the Skills Check the student will receive their certification card.
