HEARTSAVER CPR

Heartsaver CPR courses are for those lay-people who need American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification to fulfill a job requirement: educators, daycare workers, coaches, personal trainers, private sitters, nannies, baby nurses, babysitters, homecare specialists, massage therapists, physical therapists, and medical assistants in non-critical care rolls.

**** Please note that the techniques used for Heathcare Provider CPR & Heartsaver CPR differ greatly, and may cause confusion on code teams or in dental offices. ****

HS CPR is divided into different classes customized for your needs. Each course has a practical exam to complete for the two year AHA card. The training is offered in two formats:

• Adult/Child Heartsaver CPR

  • Adult guidelines for the lay rescuer apply to victims about 8 years of age and older.
  • Child CPR guidelines for the lay rescuer apply to children about 1 to 8 years of age.
  
  

• Adult/Child/Infant Heartsaver CPR

  • Adult guidelines for the lay rescuer apply to victims about 8 years of age and older.
  • Child CPR guidelines for the lay rescuer apply to children about 1 to 8 years of age.
  • Infant CPR guidelines apply to victims less than approximately 1 year of age.
