The American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers Skills Check Session is for Students who have successfully completed the AHA BLS Online RENEWAL Course. How it works:
Part 1. Students complete the online, cognitive portion of the course, either at the workplace or anywhere with Internet access. When students finish the online portion, a certificate of completion will be available for them to print. The certificate is required to complete Part 2 at an authorized American Heart Association Training Center.
Part 2. Students complete the skills validation test with an American Heart Association Instructor.
PLEASE NOTE: This course is a monitoring and testing class only. No instruction or presentation is conducted by the instructor.
Testing will include: Adult Skills (1- and 2-rescuer CPR with a bag-mask device); Use of the AED; Infant Skills (1- and 2-rescuer CPR with use of a bag-mask device).
Upon presentation of the online certificate and successful completion of the Skills Check the student will receive their certification card.
