My Service-Learning Plans

Here is a list of the five programs I want to volunteer for the Service-Learning Program:

Program #1: Upward Bound

Why: I am an English major and I think I can handle tutoring a high student English literature. I do not really like dealing with little kids, but I think I can handle a high school student. Plus, it is right on campus. This is good because I do not have a car.

Program #2: Western Youth Network

Why: Since I need to work with kids, I decided to try and do some art projects with this project since I am an English Major.

Program #3: Blowing Rock Extended Learning Center

Why: If I do tutoring for English, I figured I could try my hand at doing something for the theatre of the arts world. I think I work with little kids if I make an effort in the end.

Program #4: Mountain Home Music (Franklin County School District)

Why: Again, I like working with the arts. This would be a good opportunity to work with music and arts all in one go.

Program #5: Park and Recreation (Franklin County)

Why: Once again, here is another chance to work with arts and people with one go. Plus, this would help me get out a little more in Frankfurt.
