This year, we were able to collect over $10,000 worth of gear for porters and guides involved in community-based ecotourism in the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve, located in the Garhwal Himalaya of India. This was a grassroots; mountain to mountain campaign initiated by Ian Snider in Boone, NC with help form a local outfitter, the Mast General Store.
