History: Chibiabos is a member of the Anasazi, an extra-dimensional race of spirits akin to the Olympian and Asgardian gods worshipped on earth. For thousands of years, the Anasazi have been benefactors and protectors of Native Americans and worshipped by them as gods. Foremost among them is Manabozho, brother of Chibiabos, who was worshipped as the Great Spirit under myriad names by the numerous tribes of North America. While visiting Manabozho on earth, Chibiabos was walking across a frozen lake when he was abducted by older spirits called the Anamaqkiu. Manabozho mourned his brother for four days, but on the fifth day, Chibiabos appeared to him in a vision and instructed him to travel west until he ran out of land and light a fire to guide the spirits of earth to the afterlife.

While captive in the underworld, Chibiabos had seemingly conquered the Amanaqkiu and had promised to stay behind to be their leader. Manabozho meanwhile reached the western coast of North America and lit a fire as his brother had instructed him. The fire became a doorway into the underworld of Seana which he passed through, slaying two of the Anamaqkiu in trying to free his brother, but Chibiabos revealed his pact to stay behind and Manabozho was forced to depart without his brother. The Anamaqkiu, however, as revenge against Manabozho, sent a flood up from the underworld to claim the earth, but Manabozho rushed ahead and saved as much life he could upon a tree he kept floating upon the waters.

As god of the dead, Chibiabos welcomed the honorable dead into Seana and promised them a peaceful afterlife, a realm later called the "happy hunting ground" where the spirits of the dead lived in idyllic bliss with their honored ancestors. His wife, Yolkai Estsan, split her time between heaven and the underworld to be by his side. The dishonored dead meanwhile became subject to the whims of the Anamaqkiu. In recent years, he was contacted by other more sinister gods of the dead, including Seth and Hades, in a plot to unite their realms, but realizing they were not honorable, he backed out of their gathering.

Height: 6' 3"
Weight: 425 lbs.
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Brown

Strength Level: Chibiabos possesses superhuman strength enabling him to lift (press) about 65 tons under optimal conditions.

Known Superhuman Powers: Chibiabos possesses the conventional physical attributes of the Anasazi or Native American gods. Like all Anasazi, he is extra-ordinarily long-lived, but he is not immortal like the gods of Olympus. He has not aged since reaching adulthood and cannot die by any conventional means. He is immune to all Earthly diseases and is resistant to conventional injury. If he were somehow wounded, his godly life force would enable him to recover with superhuman speed. It would take an injury of such magnitude that it dispersed a major portion of his bodily molecules to cause him a physical death. Even then, it might be possible for a god of significant power, such as Manabozho, The Raven or Gitche Manitou or for a number of the Anasazi of equal power working together to revive him. Chibiabos also possesses superhuman strength and his godly metabolism provides him with far greater than human endurance in all physical activities. (Anasazi flesh and bone is about three times as dense as similar human tissue, contributing to the superhuman strength and weight of the Native American Gods.)

Chibiabos also has several undefined abilities to perform feats of magic, such as sending his voice and image to the land of the living (earth) and manipulating the matter within the land of the dead. He has several powers paranormal in nature enabling him to perceive the astral spirits of the deceased (ghosts) and moving between planes of existence.

Pets: Chibiabos was often linked to the wolf.

Comments: Chibiabos' origins are largely identified from mostly Algonquin resources. He has not yet been seen in the Marvel or DC Universes.
