The Search

To search but in vain near a lifetime

Just to find a man among men

To roam through the fens and the furrows

And wander the pastures again

To cross through the day and the darkness

To trod through this season, this space

Enduring the trials and the sorrows

For one instant to look in your face

To banish the doubts we afeared of

To fall in your eyes and to know

That hearts can seal seekers together

To venture where lovers can go

And we have come forth to this moment

Fulfilling the promise of yore

That we might at last bring completion

To all that was written before
