BRIAN - VOX (Pennsylvania)
How did you find your way into music..."My father was a drummer. My brother played the piano and my other brother played the guitar. My mom, well she was just my mom, but music has always been a part of my family. When I was six I began learning the trumpet, of course when I hit my early teens rock and roll was my new friend and I knew I wanted to persue other avenues. I began taking guitar lessons soon after and became fairly good to a point where I was writing my own songs, lyrics and singing along to them. I thought to myself as long as no one tells me not to sing, i'll keep singing."
How does music affect you..."Music soothes the soul! It's my escape from reality. Not that reality is that bad, but escaping is always better. I'm in my own world and only I control it. Music is a part of us each and every day, whether on radio, television or just humming in the shower and to be a part of such a powerful movement is more than enough for me."

COLE - GUITAR (Pennsylvania)
How did you find your way into music..."I grew up with music always playing in the house so it was a natural thing to want to do, to get lost in, and to express myself. I started on the trombone in elementary school then switched to guitar going into middle school because it seemed like girls didn't think the trombone was too cool."
How does music affect you..."Music's effect on me has been very profound. It's been my best friend and the one constant in my life since childhood. It is the creative release that I can't imagine being without. It has literally saved my life through the years when there was nothing else worth living for. Music is one of the few things in life that raises one beyond mere existence. The act of communicating through music is joy and magic."
TOM - BASS (Pennsylvania)
How did you find your way into music..."My dad played (and still plays) bass in several local big bands. So I have always been pretty much absorbed in music my entire life...I began playing when my sister told me she would teach me how to play my dad's bass if I did the dishes for her. I never really thought of myself as a bass player...I just kind of messed around with the thing. I think one of the pivotal moments in my development as a bass player was when my brother brought home a copy of School Days from Stanley Clark and played me the title track. I just remember thinking, "This is a bass????". My perception of bass up until then is that it was that thing that Gene Simmons wore around his neck while [he] blew fire and spit blood. As my interest grew I started to keep my antenna up for whatever was out there. Within my freshman year in high school, I had become a big fan of: Geddy Lee (Rush), John Paul Jones (Led Zep), and Steve Harris (Iron Maiden). Shortly thereafter, came: Chris Squier, John Entwistle, Paul McCartney and Jaco Pastorious. To this day music is (for better or worse) what I do. Working for a living is what I do to finance my music career.
How does music affect you..."Music pretty much effects my train of thought, my behavior, my personality...While I’m passionate about it, it is also defense mechanism, an insulation, and an escape from the stresses of everyday life...You get to express yourself, challenge yourself, and show off. Having someone applaud something that you had a hand in creating is one of the greatest things anyone can ever experience."
MIKE - DRUMS (New Jersey)
How did you find your way into music..."When I was young, I was surrounded by a lot of good music that my parents, brother, and sister listened to...lots of 70's rock...a lot of Jim Croce, James Taylor, CCR, etc. Then I heard Rush and I almost fell out of my chair when I heard what Neil Peart was doing. I knew I wanted to play the drums right then and there."
How does music affect you..."Music puts me in 'mood'...music can take me back in time...it can also make me think of the future...it can take my mind away from some of the burdens of real life like no other thing can, therefore it's a rather powerful vehicle for me."
JOE - KEYBOARD (Pennsylvania)
How did you find your way into music..."I grew up during the Beatles heyday. Then came Pink Floyd. Need I say more?"
How does music affect you..."Music soothes the savage beast. Without it, I'm sure I would be completely INSANE!"
