Our Day and a Half in Vegas

Hello again, this time we have pics of our quick trip to Vegas for Tany's highschool graduation..Christal's oldest daughter. Again, like the last group of pictures, there are so many, and I don't like to clog people's computer with large heavy files to download to a list of people. Anyway, here they are.

On our way to Vegas, we passed over the Hoover Dam, which was very impressive. They now have a project they're working on, a suspension bridge due to be completed in 2008, providing all goes well. I'm guessing there will be a special about it on the Discovery Channel sometime along the way....LOL

Lake Mead, which was suprisingly big.

In Las Vegas, "the strip" during the day from Christal's front window. The bigger brown building is the Mandalay Bay hotel/casino, and the blue building on the right side is the MGM Grand, where most award ceremonies are held that aren't in Hollywood themselves.

Saturday afternoon after we had been there only a couple hours, we had a graduation party for Freddy and Tany, which included caterers and a d.j. that wasn't such a good d.j. But oh well. After the party Christal and a couple other brothers and sisters arranged for a stretch Hummer limousine reservation to come and pick the younger kids up and take them for a cruise around the strip for a while. Forty five minutes later, it was our turn. Tany, Cheyanna, Freddy, Willy, Ruben, me, Kattie, Angie, Mickey, Aldo, Christal, Tina, and Joe all had a great time. I think all of us above must have gotten about a total of seven hours of sleep the whole time.....

The next day, Monday, was the actual graduation ceremony. It was very nice, and a lot of people. It was held in the UNLV college stadium, which was kind of cool. This is Tina and her husband Joe, with Tany.

And then, it was a nice good bye from the sun rising in Vegas on Tuesday morning.
