Union-News (Springfield, MA) - December 7, 2000 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Deceased Name: Donald J. Simpson Donald J. "Red" Simpson, 62, of 482 Holyoke St., died Tuesday at home. He was a heavy-equipment operator for Barry Linton Co. and Paul Dorval Construction Co., both of Ludlow. Born in Holyoke, he lived in Ludlow for several years and was a member of First Church. His wife, the former Evelyn Scott, died in 1989. He leaves a son, William Barlow of Ludlow; a daughter, Bonnie L. Kennedy of Ludlow; two sisters, Shirley Ready of Victoria, Texas, and Agnes Kimball of South Hadley; and three grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday morning at the church, with burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday evening at Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home.
