David Frederick Rosenau Published in the Jackson Citizen Patriot on 2/18/2005 ROSENAU, DAVID FREDERICK - Of Vandercook Lake, passed away suddenly Tuesday, February 15, 2005, at the age of 59. David was born in Jackson, May 26, 1945, to Robert F. and Velma (Jackson) Rosenau. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Cheryl (Saltzgaber) Rosenau; two children, son, Daniel (Michele) Rosenau of Jackson, Terri Rosenau of Ferndale, MI; granddaughter, Mackenzie Rosenau; sister, Ruth (John) Hamilton of Jenison, MI; uncle, Paul Jackson of Jackson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard (Lorraine) Saltzgaber; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard (Lois) Saltzgaber; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. David was preceded in death by his father, Robert F. Rosenau. He worked for 35 years, retiring from Michigan Center Public School as an Elementary School Teacher. David was a member of the Brookside United Methodist Church, youth leader for 18 years, former member of the Vandercook Lake Lions Club. David graduated from Jackson High School in 1963, then from Spring Arbor College and completed his graduate studies at Michigan State University. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and his little dog, Molly. Funeral services will be held at Brookside United Methodist Church, Saturday, February 19, 2005 at 3:00 p.m., the Reverend Dave Johnston officiating. According to his wishes, cremation will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to Brookside United Methodist Youth Memorial, 4000 Francis St., Jackson, MI 49203, or to the Lyme Disease Association, 35431 Brush St., Wayne, MI 48184. Visitation will be at the church from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m.
