While there is no cure for autism at the present time, there are a many great therapies or interventions that bring about substantial improvements in many of the symptoms of autism. Therapies and interventions should be individually designed (tailored to the child's needs). Therapists work with these individuals to develop skills in language, social, and play areas, and to minimize inappropriate and self-stimulatory behavior which can impede upon the child's learninig.
