The Holidays
The east world celebrates always Christmas day. The Christmas day in my country Colombia, South America is a holiday very special and important for all people.
In my country we come together to celebrate with our families at Christmas on December 25 and the New Year with our friends.
On Christmas day we dine together in family is one special day. We cook different foods and drinks. We have a party sometimes in my home dance, listen to beautiful music. All are happy around the Christmas tree and different presents, after midnight afterwards we go outside with my friends to other houses.
The city is full of light and different colors is Christmas and new year, this is time to be with the family. The kids are on vacations and the days are sunny full, because is time where the people always are crazy and happy to be into the New Year.
Now remember what when I was boy the sky beautiful deep blue as the summer and spring days in Massachusetts.

The special holidays for me and my family is Christmas day. On December 24 my Mother cooks a dinner for all family. Her daughters and her sons some people for example my sister-in-law and brothers-in-law and her grandsons any friends share together a moment very nice. My parents are very happy because they see the family meeting together.

HOLIDAY IN COLOMBIA
In Colombia is very important the day December 24 at night is celebration Christmas’s celebrate with my family party, to cook big dinner chicken, beef, salad, potatoes, turkey , wine, soda and different dessert ;after 12:noon to give the present family each special for children. Afterwards the family and friends dance. the days 16 to 24 December prayer ninth and eat cookies ,chocolate ,soda and cake.

The Haitian new years Cap Haitian from Haiti. The holiday is celebrated in January. First the people go to the park. Most of the programs are parties from each province are spectacular shows and dancing compa. More and more Haitians spend their time to traveling during the holiday. In the morning the military makes the parade.

My favorite holiday is Christmas I like Christmas because during the holiday season we go on a retreat to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ by hearing the word of God, Bible study seminars and choral prayers with testimonies. The Christmas retreat is always good because we enjoy being with our brethren in the lord. We have our quiet time at 5:00 am. I love Christmas retreat becauseI revive my spirit with my friends, and we eat some food, such as rice, yam and beans with tea and bread. We are all blessed with physical and spiritual food from God .

Thanksgiving is a tradition of celebration in the USA. Thanksgiving is celebrated every year in November on the fourth Thursday. People cook a lot of food on Thanksgiving day and they get together to celebrate. The speciality of Thanksgiving is turkey.

I remember every year. My family fasts for one month all day. Every body gets - up early in the morning drinks the coffee, eat at 5am to 5:20 am stop to eat all day 5am to 6am then cook something to eat, pray. After 29 days every one celebrates the holiday. The people have nice clothes nice braids go to the mosque eat food dancing at night it’s the good holiday pray to God to make the next year better.
