Topic: Your Morality!
Hello, this is your conscience speaking I know we haven't talked for a while but that's your fault not mine. It seem lately you've been too busy to do much of anything besides waste your precious life away eating fast food, watching Lost (which ironically you are now), and flipping the television channel whenever you see it's actually broadcasting news. Well I suppose this is partly my fault, i mean we live in an age of technology and I, well I guess I've been trying to get your attention in all the wrong ways. Instead of listening to the tiny voice in the back of your head your now listen the Internet and television. So I'm getting 20th century savvy here and posting your wake up call here were you might actually see it, that is if you aren't too tired to have read this far. The whole purpose for my writing this is not such an adventitious goal as world peace, no I've long ago concluded their will always be some human cause malady that's afflicting the masses. No what I'm trying to do here is make you aware of what you can do to clean up this horrible mess you've made. Why if you don't believe me just turn on an actual news program and watch for 20 seconds and you'll see what has become of our materialistic world.
So this is a bog entry on your morality. I presume if you've read this far you're listening so I'm going to say this, the answer to every problem of humanity is to let love win! What you should value over all else is love, the love of your family, your friends, and your fellow human beings. If you let love win over your prejudices your bigotries your hatred and fear of all that you consider normal and acceptable there would be no more hate crimes or holy wars. If you let love win over your greed children all over the world will have full bellies and a warm bed for the first time in their lives! For once consider the fact that if instead of spending a bonus or saving on a flat screen TV, Play station 3, or Motorola side kick, giving to to a children's Charity. If we let love win over everything, let the next time you see some one trip, let it be you who jumps onto the tracks and lifts the person out of the way of a coming subway car in New york City instead of some one who walks by unaffected. Let it be you who stands up for some one who is being bullied for who they are, instead of the one who stands by quietly and does nothing. Now I'm not asking you to switch species on my here and become a butterfly that soon after reading this transforms into loving, giving, selfless, human being. Far from it, I'm not expecting a miracle. No what I am hoping for is that you'll from now on consider some small act of kindness, a smile is enough to make some ones day. You don't have to give up all your material possessions and become like Buddha or Ghandi, but maybe for once in you lives can you say "Hey your religious beliefs, sexual preference, culture, or lifestyle may be different from what I believe and practice but that's okay because it's what you choose to do with your life and it makes you happy so I won't stop you." I more people would just let a little more love in their lives and be a little more forgiving then we wouldn't have teenagers getting their heads bashed in for being gay, or Israeli's and Palestinian's blowing each other up in the streets, or terrorism in the middle east period. If every person in the westernized nations gave one dollar, we could end world hunger. If the oil refining companies wouldn't be so greedy we would have already developed cars that don't rely on crude oil. If the pharmaceutical companies weren't so greedy they would tell everyone there are natural cures for every disease known to man (including HIV/AIDS), but I will divulge more information on greed in my next entry for by now I'm sure you've dozed off at the key board or have gone to Youtube to watch a dog licking itself, but I won't blame you, it's far more interesting then thinking about anything serious or about making a difference in this world. But if you have listened thus far I hope you understand I say all of this out of love for you and this tiny blue planet we live on for I fear without more love in it this world is lost. So please decide to take that first step and let love win.
with much love and high hopes for you,
your conscience
