Log in		Stomping Grounds Monday, September 25, 2006 Stomping Grounds! Mood: happy Believe it or Not...I've had a pretty nice life with my family when I was younger. Growing up in the small town of Wausau, Wisconsin with the popualtion of a mere 33 thousand wasn't so bad. We stuck together like peanut butter and Jelly and it just made for a lot of roadtrips and vacations in the summertime because there is no overly populated city around. Trust me some trips I've been on with my family were quite the learning experiance and a lot of fun and very interesting to say the least. My family and I (Mom & Dad 1 sister and 2 brothers) had never moved ever when I was growing up and going to school. Although, I have visited the good, bad, and ulgy sides of american soil. Some I'd like to return to show my own family and some I wouldn't even touch with a ten foot pole. In my neighborhood of Racine, Wisconsin where I call home today we are the minority and I have no problem with that. We have lived here since May of 2004 when we had purchased a house here to be closer to my husband's work. I don't disturb any of my neighbors. Basically, I'm too busy with my own family and just keep to ourselves. But, I do have a problem with children of a different color bugging us for no reason by throwing sticks over our fenced in backyard, knocking on our garage or shattering windows in our vans. Simply because they are bored and have nothing better to do. I really hope this area does get better because the racine law enforcement must do a better job of patroling the streets and keeping people safe. I understand they will be risking their lives because people of another color around us shoot one another for petty things. But, the Law Enforcement and Fire Department in NYC on 9/11 put their lives on the line just to do what they did best...save people!
