Not very bad day I out part of the time over to Florence to dinner & to the post office. Leon gone all day went to Russell & to Jayville got thirteen $ never gave me a cent.
Wednesday, October 3
Colder & wet raining to night John Aldrich wired in the fore noon & finished. Robberts worked at the third floor partitions. Leon chasing all over. I went over & ate dinner at Florences she feeling better.
Friday, October 5
Cold & rather dismal & rainy & muddy Leon did not want to go after Grace so muddy & bad we phoned to her but got no answer so we thought she would be on train but was disappointed.
Saturday, October 6
Wet & cold a dismal day Grace came on morning train I not feeling very ambitious. Grace went to Florences & Gerties & staid most of the day. Florence & Grace brought the baby over & kept him quite a while. Leon sold & shipped a couple of cows & went after them. Sam Morris paid $2.00 rent & 40 cts water rent & Glen Aldrich paid four fifty rent up to night. Domenic paid four $ rent Edd Robberts xxxx work & for work he was to turn on rent
Sunday, October 7
A cold dismal day I feeling pretty fair Grace here went & got the Baby & kept it a part of the day. Florence over a part of the day we went to Florences to dinner then H. took Lumleys car & Hermie Gertie & John Florence & Grace went to Canton to see Minnie & take Grace to her school. I did not dare to go for fear of taking cold. Leon away at the farm & getting the cows he could not get yesterday. Gertie & Hermie up a xxxxx when they got back. Found Minnie feeling pretty well & thinking of going back into school.
Monday, October 8
Cold & Raining right down Heard this morning the car of plaster over here I did not amt to anything wrote to the bank & to Bowers I had a lonesome day. Leon went to the farm & did not get back till dark came with both teams,
Tuesday, October 9
Another cold day but the sun shining some I not doing much wrote a $50 check for freight on plaster & Leon & Lawson unloading the plaster & putting it in the store.

A cold wind & rained & cloudy most of the time. Grace here we moved the rest of the things from the rooms for Warmick.
Sunday, October 14
Pleasant but cloudy some grew warmer in P.M. I here alone to night Grace went back to her school. Hermie & all their people took her & went off this morning Leon staid here to dinner. Florence & Harrison gone some where to Lumleys I suspect. Hermie just come with the car said they drove all day been to Black Lake Hammond & around by Ogdensburg & Canton & Dekalb & left Grace got here at eight Leon gone to the farm to stay all night to milk the cows.

rather cold wind & the road rough but Leon Grace Leah & I started about noon & went out to Harringtons found them all gone all but Minnie up to Gleasons she down town to a war meeting, Minnie feeling pretty well & expects to go back to here schools tomorrow I rode home with Hermie, Our car stopped for want of gas so I came with them Hermie took Leon & the gas & took him to the car & they came on then & got here about as soon as we. John got a deer.

cold & disagreeable I did nothing but the chores.
Tuesday, October 23
cloudy & rainy part of the time I doing nothing much Leon came down with the milk & staid till two oclock carried a few brick then went to Fine after the wood for Hall. Florence went to doctor but he gone stopped a few minutes. Dam paid me two dollars rent. Sebe commenced to draw zinc with the black team. Another Italian came to Domenic with his wife she not home yet they pretty noisy.
Wednesday, October 24
cloudy wet day & growing cold another lonesome day I could not do much Leon came & fussed around a while emptied the potatoes & carried up a hundred or so of brick he cleaned out the barn & here to dinner. Still raining to night Leah to the farm did not come down today. There is a sugar famine no one can get more than two lbs I went over to Florences a little while at night.

cold cloudy& rainy all day enough to discourage anyone. I amounted to nothing Leon came & carried perhaps a couple hundred of brick. I have got to do something with him. Just grabs every thing he can. I over to Florences in evening Grace I expect is in Ogdensburg to teachers conference.
Friday, October 26
This has been one beautiful day over head but the roads is just a poridge only a few autos to be seen. Leon came with the milk but did not do any thing but carry up perhaps one hundred brick. I over to Florences this evening had a card from Minnie she teaching again she said Nett wrote Floyd (Grandy, her nephew) very bad not much hopes I guess of him got the pneumonia as well as the fever. Domenics wife came back & he paid me four $ rent till Monday, I paid Mrs. Kinnie 1 $ I owed her. Grace I expect is to Minnies to night came there from Ogdensburg.

another nice day but rained again at night & the wind blew a hericane I amounted to nothing but fussed around the roads just drying a little rain again I wrote a short letter to Nett Floyd very bad in the hospital. Charles Webb rented the front rooms over Bell & paid me ten $. Lawton

a rainy dismal day cloudy I fussed around all day then went up to Gerties at night then came back & Florence & Harrison came & brought the boy & Gertie & Hermie came up they staid till bed time.
Monday, October 29
rainy again to day all the fore noon & the wind blowing to night. Leon went to Star Lake to take Howard Sairs & when he got most to Eastman Hill something broke & he ran out of the road & tipped over in the road. broke nothing he said when it tipped. My eyes so bad I kept in the house to day peeled a punkin & stewed it. I went over to Florences tonight & Gertie came up a while. Leon gone to the farm Webb moved one small load to night.

another rainy day the wind blew all day & it hailed to night I all alone most all day after eight oclock the train just came Leon to the place again done nothing here but bring up a few arms of wood. Webb come with another load of things Florence over a few minutes after eggs. A lonesome day for me my eyes so sore I could not go out. Gertie & Hermie up a while after she closed the store H & J went to picture show Leon brought ice cream, bread venson & a pear

Stormy snowed a little enough to whiten the roofs but melted on the ground nothing doing here Leon brought the cows to the B.P. place & drew a load of wood brought a little here won't do a chore here. I over to Florences a few minutes to see the boy Florence here after the flat iron. Gertie called a minute. Halloeen the boys raising ned.
